Es hängt doch ganz alleine vom Booking ab. Man hätte Chavo auch so zum absoluten Face machen können.

Man nutzt den Tod heimlich aus, aber sowas wird die Öffentlichkeit empören.

Also jetzt mal abgesehen von der Eddie-Sache, hätte Chavo schon das wrestlerische Können, um es zu einem Upper-Midcarder zu schaffen. Um den IC-Title kann er sicherlich kämpfen. Alles eine Sache des Bookings bzw. eines Pushs. Weiss jemand wie alt er ist?

Beerdigung von Eddie Guerrero - Nefercheperur - 19.11.2005
Am letzten Donnerstag fand die Beerdigung von Eddie Guerrero in Scottsdale, Arizona statt. Neben der gesamten Guerrero Familie waren folgende WWE Wrestler anwessend: Chris Benoit, Shane Helms, Steve Austin, JBL, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Lita, Doug Basham und Torrie Wilson. Vom WWE Management kamen: Vince und Linda McMahon, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, John Laurenaitis, Kevin Dunn, Bruce Prichard, Dean Malenko, und Michael Hayes. Andere Wrestler die bei der Beerdigung dabei waren, waren: Chris Jericho, Konnan, CM Punk, Gail Kim, Tom Prichard, Jamie Noble, Charlie Haas, Jackie Gayda, Mark Jindrak, Christian, Billy Graham, und Sting.

hab eben auf wwe.com die ganzen tribute / trauer videos der anderen wrestler gesehen.... geht einem schon zu herzen, wenn diese gestandenen männer in tränen ihre beziehung zu eddie reminiszieren... JBL, Regal als jetzt nicht so ganz eddie nahestehenden, war schon touching... :/, von chavo, rey und benoit will ich gar nicht erst sprechen....
is einfach nur traurig alles :bigcry:

aber ich finde es schön das man in den shows und auf der webseite den tod eddie's nicht unter den teppich gekehrt hat sondern im den letzten respekt erwiesen hat.

Eddie Guerrero's untimely death again drives home the fact that today's version of professional wrestling is ugly and manipulative. Even though World Wrestling Entertainment was surely distraught, the company had to put its "spin" (poor Eddie, we tried to help, they were his decisions, we did a nice special honoring him) while selling more DVDs and books about Eddie.
But what is going to change? Wrestlers, like baseball and football players, are only doing what they feel they must to get ahead by using steroids and enhancement drugs. Who created this atmosphere of steroids, drugs, and coercion? Not the performers.
Wrestling today profits because it flies under the radar of government and media scrutiny. "It's just 'rassling!" Yet the health of real human beings is at stake. Furthermore, the powers that be ignore that this product, this philosophy, this atmosphere of a dangerous steroid culture is marketed directly in four hours of national television every week to a million or more teen-agers and younger viewers.
This youthful audience has no context in which to understand the issues and risks. These fans do not know that a "certain look" is what a performer in wrestling needs to be chosen for a prime role today.
Wrestling was always a hard, tough, often unethical business. In St. Louis, we were lucky that Sam Muchnick helped elevate it so that the entertainment and athletic values could be enjoyed. Steroids fortunately were barely a blip at that time. But those days are long, long gone.
Whatever problems baseball and football have with steroids and their approach to the problems it brings, save for Ken Caminiti and Lyle Alzado, athletes in their prime or just past are not dropping dead like Guerrero, Hennig, Rude, Studd, Hawk, Pillman, and so many other wrestlers.
It deeply saddens me to see that wrestling today has become a victim of its own excess. And another young father is gone forever because of it.

Morgen ist es also schon ein Jahr her. Ich hol den Thread darum nochmal hoch.
Irgendwie kann ich immer noch nicht realisieren das Eddie Guerrero nie mehr wieder kommt. Wie steht ihr jetzt ein Jahr danach zu diesem Thema?

Es ist immernoch traurig und auch heute muss ich manchmal noch richtig mit mir kämpfen, wenn ich die Tributevideos von Fans auf Youtube oder einfach nur Matches von Eddie sehe...
Was WWE aber im endeffekt draus gemacht hat ist gelindegesagt schice aber das haben wir ja nun schon oft genug diskutiert.
