Die damalige große WWE Hoffnung Matt Cappotelli hatte vermeintlich den den Kampf gegen den Gehirntumor gewonnen.
Nachdem der Tumor erfolgreich entfernt werden konnte und er ab 2013 Trainer bei der OVW gewesen ist,
stellte man im Juli 2017 einen neuen und deutlich aggressiveren und zum teil inoperablen Gehirntumor fest.
Vor zwei Wochen postete seine Frau via Facebook, dass er bereits 3 von 5 Chemotherapien hinter sich hat.

Wie seine Frau heute auf Facebook bekannt gab starb Matt Cappotelli im Alter von 38 Jahren an den Folgen des Gehirntumors.
Er war neben John Hennigan (aka John Morrison/Johnny Mundo/Johnny Impact) der Gewinner der 3. Staffel WWE Tough Enough.
