“Actually, it’s becoming less of a problem because we have really stepped up our game as far as testing. For these athletes, there’s nowhere to hide. The first step was working with the various athletic commissions to make sure we had testing for the night of the fight for every fighter on the card. Whereas it used to be years ago, it was more of a random basis. They would test the main event and maybe some of the other fighters. We said, ‘You know what: We’ll pay for it. You test everybody on the card.’ And then, as some of these performance enhancing drugs started to evolve and get better, it was harder to test for some of those drugs because they were out of your system apparently quickly. So we started to implement random testing working with the Nevada State Athletic Commission and funding that testing protocol. Now, the next step for us and what we’re working on, is a complete project where we will random test all 500 of our athletes multiple times per year. We’re working on that. It’s gonna be a comprehensive plan. At the end of the day, if you’re cheating, we will catch you. You will get suspended, possibly fined. We take it very serious because at the end of the day, our fans want to make sure our sport’s clean, and I think the athletes want the sport clean. The clean athletes want the sport to be clean, right?” Hallmann erzaehlte nun folgende Geschichte dazu: Zitat:“At that moment I was badly injured and was waiting for transportation to the hospital. All of a sudden one of the people that tested me at the event drove all the way to the hospital telling us that something went wrong with the testing but at that time I was in extreme pain as the medical team was treating my broken jaw. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2014/10/10/6959131/hallman-brazil-drug-test-procedures-crazy-i-am-innocent Problem an der ganzen Geschichte ist das bei Hallmann das Steroid Drostanolone gefunden wurde, was ua fuer Weight Cutting vor dem Fight benutzt wird, und keine seiner Erklaerungen erklaeren den positiven Befund. The anabolic agent drostanolone was found in Mr. Piotr Hallman´s urine, not blood, in the pre-fight exam. His blood test came back negative. For any positive test, the lab has to re-test the same sample to certify the result. The athlete is entitled to issue an appeal. If it’s regarding the result, he needs to send a formal communication. The commission will send it to the lab and any costs regarding documentation and new test will be entirely the athlete´s responsibility. If the appeal is regarding the process, he needs to send a formal communication. The commission will send to it the Brazilian Authority of Doping Control (ABCD) so they can issue and official report. But if the appeal is regarding the integrity and responsibility of the commission on regulating MMA in Brazil, he needs to send a formal communication to the entity.”
