Das neue Videospiel Hulk Hogan's Main Event scheint ziemlich mies zu sein, um es mal gelinde zu sagen

The review does go into quite a bit of detail about the game and its numerous faults. The game received a staggering 1 out of 10 rating. Quite possibly the lowest score Gameinformer has ever given to a game. What is telling is the conclusion of the review the reviewer, Dan Ryckert notes that this is the worst game he has ever reviewed:
"Hulk Hogan’s Main Event is a baffling product, and I have no idea who its intended audience is. I guess it could be for fans of wrestling and crappy Punch-Out clones, but even that doesn’t make sense. I’m a lifelong fan of professional wrestling, and I love Punch-Out so much that it made the list of my ten favorite games of all-time. Main Event is an absolutely atrocious title, and I received no entertainment value out of it whatsoever. The best compliment I can give it is that Kinect picks up on what you want to do some of the time, but that would be like complimenting a Mario game for recognizing that you want to jump when you press A. In the six years I’ve been doing this, I can honestly say that Hulk Hogan’s Main Event is the worst game I’ve ever reviewed."

TNA Befürworter verlässt Spike TV / Dixie Carter bei Bound for Glory / Spin Cycle - Fry - 13.10.2011
- Backstage soll eine gewisse Besorgnis herrschen, weil Spike TV und Brian Diamond fortan getrennte Wege gehen. Brian Diamond war für den Sport und die Specials auf Spike TV verantwortlich und soll ein großer Befürworter von TNA Wrestling gewesen sein. Sein Nachfolger Jon Slusser gab in einer Pressemeldung bekannt, dass er die Bereich Motorsport, Lifestyle-Sport und Fighting verstärken möchte – über die Zukunft von TNA Wrestling ist im Schreiben jedoch nichts zu finden. Nichtsdestotrotz wird nicht erwartet, dass sich etwas am Sendeplatz ändern wird. Auch eine Absetzung von IMPACT Wrestling wird nicht erwartet.
- Dixie Carter wird am Sonntag bei Bound for Glory anwesend sein. Dieses verriet die TNA Präsidentin auf ihrem Twitter-Account: „Ich freue mich, sagen zu können, dass ich Sonntag in Philly bei Bound for Glory anwesend sein werde – ungeachtet dessen, was auch immer passieren wird. Danke an alle für Eure Unterstützung.“

Wrestler von Homepage entfernt - folgen weitere Entlassungen? - Fry - 13.10.2011
- TNA Wrestling hat sich offenbar von Okada und Murphy getrennt. So werden die Profile der beiden Wrestler sowie auch die Profile von Suicide und Sangriento nicht länger auf der offiziellen Homepage gelistet.
Murphy konnte man zuletzt an der Seite von Immortal sehen, jedoch musste er das Stable im Mai verlassen. Auch Okada war schon seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr im TV zu sehen. Lediglich bei der B-Show Xplosion konnte er in diesem Jahr vereinzelt sein Können zeigen.
Sangriento wurde von The Amazing Red verkörpert, der jedoch schon vor ein paar Wochen von TNA Wrestling entlassen wurde, weshalb es nur eine Frage der Zeit war, bis das Profil von der Homepage entfernt wird. Wie es mit Suicide-Charakter weitergeht, ist bisher noch nicht bekannt. Es wird vermutet, dass demnächst ein aktueller TNA Wrestler das Gimmick übernehmen könnte. In der Vergangenheit verkörperten bereits verschiedene Wrestler das Gimmick.
Ob weitere Entlassungen folgen, bleibt abzuwarten. Wir halten Euch bei weiteren Informationen selbstverständlich auf dem Laufenden.

Kurz und knapp: Okada und Murphy sind keine großen Verluste.
Okada ist zwar nicht schlecht im Ring, aber ihm fehlt das Charisma. Außerdem ist die Sache mit den Promos wohl ein Problem für ihn gewesen (englische Sprache). Murphy werde ich auch nicht vermissen, weil ihm das gewisse Etwas fehlt. Stand meiner Meinung nach immer im Schatten von Gunner. Im Ring ist er mir auch nie besonders positiv aufgefallen. Für das Sangriento-Gimmick sehe ich keine Zukunft, aber Suicide könnte früher oder später ein aktueller Wrestler übernehmen.
Denke mal, dass keine weiteren Entlassungen folgen, auch wenn es Mitte des Jahres noch hieß, dass man Kosten sparen möchte. Abwarten und Tee trinken

Alles verschmerzbar, insbesondere Murphy. Schon beeindruckend, dass ich ihn völlig vergessen habe, angesichts Gunners Entwicklung.

Kim Couture zu TNA? / Neues Knockout feiert Debüt - Fry - 14.10.2011
- Kim Couture verriet in einem Interview mit SportsTownChicago.com, dass TNA sowohl bei ihr als auch bei der Strikeforce Women's Featherweight Championesse Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos wegen einer etwaigen Zusammenarbeit angefragt hat. Couture ist die Ex- Frau von UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture und dürfte einigen Fans von TNA Wrestling bereits etwas sagen, weil sie 2009 einen Auftritt beim Bound for Glory Pay-Per-View hatte.
- Die kalifornische Wrestlerin Christina von Eerie feierte bei der gestrigen IMPACT Wrestling Ausgabe ihr offizielles Debüt, als sie in einen Brawl zwischen Mexican America und Ink Inc. eingriff und Rosita und Sarita aus dem Ring vertrieb. Jesse Neal schnappte sich anschließend ein Mikrofon und erklärte, dass sie ab jetzt weibliche Unterstützung hätten. Die 22-jährige Von Eerie ist mit Jesse Neal verlobt und hat seit 2006 für mehrere verschiedene Wrestling Promotions gearbeitet. So war sie unter anderem bei Pro Wrestling Guerrilla und Asistencia Asesoría y Administración aktiv.

Ring of Honor Wrestling came into my life at a time when I didn’t know if I’d ever work in wrestling again. It was the confidence they put in my abilities which lead to me being hired to produce the ROH on HDNet TV show. There I got to learn an entire new skill set beyond writing from Darrell Ewalt, Andrew Simon, and Adam Swift. I got to share my passion of wrestling with Scott Ferrier and Andy Edwards on a weekly basis. I even got to help Dave Prazak endure the slapping of porpoises. I’m amazingly proud of how that show turned out over the two years.
Life is about evolving. Ring of Honor gave me the opportunity to learn an amazing new skill set – social media. I’ve had an amazing time engaging wrestling fans over the last two years via Facebook and Twitter for the company. Every message sent, I read, every question that could be answered was. Wrestling fans have an amazing passion and varying opinions. That discussion is what fuels this business and what I find great about social media. Companies can talk about “getting in the conversation” but if you’re not in the conversation yourself, you’re simply broadcasting and not engaging.
Ring of Honor Wrestling under the ownership of Sinclair Broadcasting is the right step forward for pro wrestling. Joe Koff is an amazing businessman and salesman to lead the business end of the company into the future. Gary Juster will be bring ROH to new cities and great venues. I’m proud to have worked and learned wrestling from Jim Cornette and Hunter Johnston. The future of that TV program, live events and pay per views will amaze you at how great wrestling can be. I’m proud of my three years with ROH and know that they will make you proud to be a wrestling fan.
I leave Ring of Honor Wrestling to tackle new challenges. I’ve accepted a position as Director of Creative Writing with TNA Wrestling. My duties will be to focus solely on the development of new wrestling shows beyond the Impact Wrestling show. I’m excited to see what the future holds and thank everyone for the support over not only the last nine months of this site but through my entire career.

edit: ok, doch.. man muss seine Entscheidung, eine neue Aufgabe anzugehen, einfach respektieren - das steht außer Frage. Dennoch ist es schade, dass er nach seiner erfolgreichen Zeit bei ROH nun bei TNA anheuert. Director of Creative Writing, huh, aber nicht für Impact Wrestling.
