Jap, ist nen Vier-Tages-Wochenende in Kentucky. Mittwoch zeichnet OVW auf (u.a. Haas/Benjamin dabei, dazu von Cornette einige eventuelle ROH Stars als Überraschung dabei), Donnerstag und Freitag ROH und Samstag ist dann die allmonatliche große OVW Samstagsshow. Mit anderen Worten, der Samstag war schon vergeben und so musste ROH halt andere Termine nehmen.
Dazu kommt an den Tagen noch das große Tryout Camp, wo Vertreter von OVW, ROH und WWE nach neuen Talenten scouten.
Hm ja das Prinzip kam zwar anfangs erst schwer ins Rollen durch die unklaren bzw. für meinen Geschmack zu wenig genutzten Regeln (grad das mit den Petitionen hätte man viel besser nutzen können, auch für Fehden). Aber dann so gegen Ende, wo man auch klargestellt hatte via Castagnoli Rule dass man seinen Pick 6 Platz verteidigen muss oder eben 2 verpasste Titelchancen und du bist raus. Hatte definitiv was.
Aber ich gehe mal davon aus man sagte sich einfach, dass war ne Pearce Idee und mit neuem Booking Regime wird manches halt ausgemistet so wie auch gewisse Wrestler.

Kevin Steen and El Generico’s issues have escalated beyond anything anyone in Ring Of Honor could have expected. They have agreed, against ROH management’s wishes, to settle their war once and for all at Final Battle in a mask vs career match.
ROH president Cary Silkin, ROH vice-president Syd Eick and ROH executive producer Jim Cornette have all tried to talk both men out of the stipulation but after meeting early last week, they have all agreed that this situation is simply out of control and need to end. They have ultimately decided to let them go forward with the match as is, with Generico unmasking if he his defeated, and Steen being gone from ROH should he lose the match.
Cary Silkin even went as far as making the New York City epic a Fight Without Honor after the events of last weekend in Dearborn and Mississauga.
“This is too much for me. I’ve seen so many feuds and wars through the years. ROH has always had some of the most intense wrestlers in the world and sometimes, often even, things get out of hand but this…this has to stop” said Silkin. ”It’s gotten to the point where I don’t feel safe being ringside when Steen is out in the ring. I used to love El Generico’s energy and enthusiasm and now he comes to the ring all in black and just isn’t himself. They’re both too far gone. I actually thought they were going to injure a fan last weekend in Mississauga and that’s where I draw the line. They want to kill each other? Fine. I’m giving them the ulitmate platform to do it. Final Battle, iPPV on GoFightLive.tv, Fight Without Honor. It just doesn’t get any bigger than this.”
When asked about the stipulation of the match, with Generico’s mask and Steen’s ROH career on the line, the ROH president seemed quite disheartened.
“It’s not good either way. I don’t want this to happen. In a perfect world, to me anyway, Steen and Generico would still be tearing up the tag team division together as one of the most entertaining duos we’ve ever had. We tried to change it but they’re both dead set on it, and the fans are clearly looking forward to seeing them solve this issue this way. All I know is, on December 19th, ROH won’t be the same. One way or another we’re losing a huge piece of this company. Either Kevin Steen leaves or El Generico as we know him is done. I don’t like it at all…but it has to end.

Chuck Taylor hat auf Twitter grad verkündet, dass er im Dezember für ROH debütieren wird. Allerdings hat ROH jegliche Verhandlungen mit ihm dementiert. Strange.

- Das ROH Office wurde von HDNet Executive Producer Jim Cornette darüber informiert, dass er bei den TV Tapings am 10. Dezember 2010 in Louisville, Kentucky für ein Mitglied des ROH Rosters ein Interviewsegment hosten wird. Diese Person ist niemand geringeres als "The Notorious 187" Homicide. Seit seiner Rückkehr ist der ehemalige ROH World Champion sehr deutlich mit seiner Meinung über Cornette gewesen. Bedenkt man dazu, welche Vergangenheit beide miteinander verbindet, garantiert dieses Segment eine hochexplosive Stimmung.
- Für den 17. Dezember 2010 konnte nun der Gegner des technischen Zauberers TJ Perkins finalisiert werden. Er wird auf niemand Geringeres als Kyle O'Reilly treffen.
- Es ist bekannt, dass Amazing Kong das Teamangebot von Daizee Haze angenommen hat für Final Battle 2010. Sara Del Rey dagegen hält sich noch bezüglich ihrer Partnerin bedeckt, hat aber angekündigt, dass sie ihre Allianz bald bekanntgegeben wird und es eine Wrestlerin sein wird, gegen die sie schon häufig gekämpft hat und von der sie weiß, dass sie einen harten Fight aufbringen kann.
- Eddie Edwards hat sich von seiner Schulterverletzung erholt und wird sowohl am Donnerstag als auch Freitag bei den Kentucky Tapings seinen World TV Title verteidigen. Sein Gegner für Freitag steht in Form des "Fallen Angel" bereits fest, sein Donnerstagskontrahent wird in Kürze bekanntgegeben.

YO.. 0-5 wie in Stein gemeißelt.! - und am Ende eine Ridge-Promo vom Fallen Angel, der sich wiedermal positiv über seinen Gegner äußert.
Ich kapier den Sinn trotzdem irgendwo nich.. 0-5, sicher alles 'knapp' und er hat sich gut bis sehr gut verkauft.. aber 0-5? Ich weiß ja nich..

Nuja vllt schafft er entweder den Upset oder er hat sich halt einfach durch seine Leistung dann einen Platz im Roster verdient. Hat ja nu nicht gerade Fallobst bekommen. Und letztlich ist ja der Match Record nur eine der Bewertungskategorien.
