Offizielle World Wrestling Rankings vom December 1968 - Nefercheperur - 23.07.2005
Man merkt das die Rankings von einem New Yorker Magazin sind, den denn WWWF Campion Sammartino kannte ausserhalb von New York State und Pennsylvania/Florida kein Schwein. Hingegen Gene Kiniski als NWA World Heavyweight Champion damals in ganz Nord Amerika antrat. Und Sammartino hatte 68 kein grosses MSG Programm gegen ein Top Mann, er trat gegen Gorilla Monsoon an und verlor ende 68 auch einige Matches gegen ihn.
Interessant finde ich auch das die Funk Brothers auf 8 stehen, die haben naemlich fast im gesamten Jahr 68 Singles Programme in Amarillo geworkt und sind nur anfang des Jahres als Team aufgetretten. Ich glaube Dory Funk Jr hatte eine Fehde mit Mike DiBiase zu jener Zeit.
Und Dick the Bruiser and Crusher Lisowski sind auf 14 aber Larry Hennig and Harley Race sind auf 11 obwohl beide Teams zu jener Zeit zusammen workten und Bruider/Crusher die Fehde deutlich gewannen.
Man merkt die Wrestling Rankings waren damals schon genauso unlogisch wie sie heute sind.
