Right after the fights I was standing around my seat just having said hey to Stephan Bonnar. As I start to walk away a woman comes up to me.

"Hey, have you seen George St. Pierre?" she asks.

"Me? Uh, no. I don't even know if he's here."

"Oh, he's here. I saw him before." and she walks off.

A minute later I overhear her telling her boyfriend, "I asked that guy if he'd seen George and he said no." His response, "Uh.. You asked him?" Now making eye contact with me. Talking to me, "Uh... Sorry man! She's new, no offense!" Then to his girl, "You don't know who that is?!"

I just laughed. It's no big thing to me, I don't recognize a lot of the guys from season 2 and 3, so no sweat to me.

Then I head upstairs into the hallway. This is usually where I sign most autographs and take pictures with people. I really enjoy doing it. It gives me a chance to show how much I appreciate all the fans of mma. Without their ppv buys I'd still be working full time and fighting.

So me and Paul Bunetello, who I'm there with, get pretty swarmed. After about 10 minutes of signings and pictures, a man comes up to me and says, "Hey, did you fight tonight?" Which seems to me to be an odd question seeing how he just watched the fights and should know if I fought or not. But I reply, "No." His response, "You sure?" "Yeah, I'm pretty sure." "Aren't you David Tarrell?" So I say, "You're asking me if I'm David Tarrell?" "Yeah. You're him aren't you?" "Uh, no. No I'm not." "Oh, ok." And he walks away. Then I go back to signing and pictures.

So... Needless to say, all night everyone I was with, Johnny and Jose from Yok'd and Evan Shoman and Paul, had a running joke. I don't know how many times I overheard them saying to someone, "Don't you know who that is? That's David Tarrell! Go ask him if he's seen George St. Pierre." Or they'd just yell at me, "Hey Dave! Where's George?!"

On occasion I get emails from people asking how I stay so down to earth with my newfound "fame". Now you know. I've always got a good crew to keep me centered and take a jab at me.
