WWE dropped the ball with CM Punk - Mick Foley - Nefercheperur - 06.03.2007
Mick Foley gab IGN diese Woche ein Interview, und sprach dabei ueber etliche Dinge. Der interessanteste Teil des Interviews ist wohl als das Gespraech auf CM Punk fiel. Foley hat damals Punk der WWE empfohlen, nun sagt Foley das WWE es mit Punk versaut hat. Hier der Auszug:
IGN Sports: That really goes back to all of the backstage politics described in the book. I read where you were one of the guys who recommended CM Punk to WWE.
Mick Foley: Yeah, I think the fact that both Ricky Steamboat and I recommended Punk had a little something to do with him being hired. Obviously you have two completely different guys representing two completely different styles recommending the same guy, and I can anticipate your next question, so yeah, I do think they have dropped the ball with CM Punk.
IGN Sports: When he came out for Survivor Series, the crowd was chanting "Punk" when he was out there with some of the biggest names in the sport, and what's funny is how often you hear that storylines are dictated by what the fans want.
Mick Foley: Well, in this case, I guess the fans were overridden. I do think it's backstage politics, and I'm not there so I don't have a real answer for you, but I know that it stinks and I don't like it.

Interessantes Interview von Mick Foley, was CM Punk angeht muss ich ihm recht geben, wenn sein Push konsequent durchgezogen worden wäre, würde er jetzt wo anders stehen. Einmal pusht man ihn, dann wieder nicht. Es ist keine Linie zu erkennen.

Find es auch schade, wie man mit CM Punk umgegangen ist, gerade wenn man auch sieht, was er bei den Survivor Series für Publikumsreaktionen bekommen. Lautere Pops als ein Triple H oder Shawn Michaels, das mag schon was heißen.
Aber vielleicht kann er sich bei Wrestlemania nochmal empfehlen für höhere Aufgaben.

Allerdings ist CM Punks Verhalten im Backstagebereich auch nicht das gelbe vom Ei. Es ist nicht nur die Schuld der WWE, CM Punk soll sich schon als der neue bessere Triple H sehen, das kann es natürlich auch nicht sein!

Das stimmt natürlich schon auch, wenn man in eine neue Gemeinschaft kommt ist man meist nicht 100% willkommen. Speziell bei WWE wo alle unter starker Konkurrenz stehen, da muss man sich vor allem am Anfang anpassen. Das ist sicher nicht die Stärke von CM Punk, wenn er das in den Griff bekommt und einsieht hat er eine gute Chance ein richtiger Star zu werden.

In der indy-szene ist er ja schon längst ein großer Star und ich kann mir vorstellen, dass er nicht begriffen hat dass er bei der WWE noch ein niemand ist und bei 0 anfangen muss.
Das potential hat er auf jeden Fall um ein ganz großer zu werden, nur muss alles dann alles passen, in-ring Leistung und alles außerhalb der vier corner.
