Habe gedacht es reicht wenn ich zweimal darauf hinweisse das es eine Liste von Jeff Farmer ist. Aber mach ich natuerlich auch gerne. ;)

Sehr interessante Liste!
1999 würde ich Draw zwischen Steve Austin und The Rock sagen! Waren beide total over zu dieser Zeit.
Wenn ich ergänzen würde, dann wie folgt:
- 2000 würde ich The Rock/Triple H zu den Topdraws ernennen. Haben die meisten Main Events bestritten und waren ebenfalls total over.
- 2001 wird es schon schwieriger, da The Rock für einige Zeit gefehlt hat und Triple H ab Mai außer Gefecht war. Außerdem kam es dann zur Invasion... da dürften mehrere Wrestler für die guten Zuschauerzahlen verantwortlich gewesen sein.
Ab 2002 gings ja dann bergab mit den Buyrates und Zuschauerzahlen...

Was waren eigentlich die erfolgreichsten Jahre des Pro Wrestling in den USA/Kanada (gemessen an den damaligen Möglichkeiten)? Und was waren die schlechtesten Jahre?

Zu deiner Frage, es ist natuerlich schwierig Zahlen zu vergleichen, und sie in Relation zusetzen. Ohne nachzuschauen wuerde ich spontan sagen das die besten Jahre in den 60er Jahren lagen. Es gab unzaehlige Territories die Woche fuer Woche, Tag fuer Tag tausende Fans zogen ueber die gesamten USA und Kanada. Sicherlich hatten Promotions wie die WWF/WWE, WCW spaeter mehr Erfolg, aber insgesamt gab es in den 60er Jahren viel mehr Wrestling Fans in Nordamerika als es heute der Fall ist. Das Wrestling war damals viel populaerer, weshalb ich ein Jahr aus den 60er Jahren nehmen wuerde.
Zu bedenken ist das etwa in den 70er Jahren die Wirtschaft nachlies, und einige Territories schon schlossen. Die 80er und in den 90er Jahren ja nochmehr. In den 50er Jahren waren viele Territories gerade im Aufbau, 40er Jahre war allgemein schlecht ueberwiegend durch den Krieg, 20er und 30er Jahre hatten zum Teil sehr gute Jahre, aber ich denke die Jahre kommen insgesamt nicht an die 60er Jahre heran.
Zum schlechtesten Jahr. Anfang der 40er Jahre war durch den Krieg ein Low Point, allerdings gab es da auch zum teil sehr gute Zuschauerzahlen, aber eher sellten. Ansonsten 1993 waere jetzt mein Pick gewessen, indem Jahr war Smokey Mountain Wrestling die erfolgreichste Wrestling Promotion in Nordamerika, sie machte als einziges Profit wo WWF und WCW Millionenverluste machten. SMW hatte sogar mehr Zuschauer als die WCW bei ihren regulaeren Shows gehabt. Ich kann mich erinnern das man Ringside Sitze bei WCW Shows fuer $5 bekam, manchmal sogar geschenkt. Etliche Shows wurden gecancelt weil man weniger als 100 Tickets verkaufte, manche Shows wurden abgehalten mit weniger als 100 Fans.
Ansonsten wuerde ich auch mal behaupten das die letzten 10 Jahre insgesamt schlecht waren. Ausser WWE gab es nichts, im Indy Bereich erreichen Shows vielleicht mal 1000 Zuschauer, mal darueber, oft sehr viel weniger. Ich glaube nicht das ein Jahr aus den letzten 10 Jahren das Jahr 1993 unterbietet, aber dennoch gehoert es zu einem der schlechteren Zeitabschnitte des Pro Wrestlings in Nordamerika.
Das waere jetzt mal mein Gefuehl. Ich denke man kann durchaus auch an der Liste die du gepostet hast etwas heraus intepretieren. 1993 war Bret Hart der beste Draw in Nordamerika, und er war nichtmal in den Top Ten. Auch sonst gab es in den letzten 20 Jahren in dieser Liste immer mehr Leute aus Mexico oder Japan die vorne landeten. Das ist kein Zufall.
