Ring of Honor gibt iPPV's auf - Mephisto - 25.06.2013
Nachdem wieder einmal ein iPPV von RoH am letzten Samstag mit schlechter Bildqualität, Lagging und extremen Buffering die Fans auf die Palme brachte, verkündete die Promotion nun das Ende der iPPV's. "Final Battle 2013" war somit der letzte iPPV von Ring of Honor.
Künftig werden Veranstaltungen nur noch auf DVD bzw Video on Demand erscheinen. Warum RoH und die Sinclair Broadcast Group es im Gegensatz zu anderen Anbietern, immer wieder nicht schaffen konnten, iPPV's in entsprechender Qualität zur Verfügung zu stellen, bleibt allerdings ein Geheimnis.
Die Nachricht wurde von Fans auf Facebook mit gemischten Gefühlen aufgenommen.
Hier die offizielle Stellungnahme:
"To our fans,
This past weekend at “Best in the World” in Baltimore, MD, Ring of Honor proved once again from top to bottom why our talent is truly the best in wrestling today. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the live iPPV stream that wound up distracting from the energy and action in ring. For this, we sincerely apologize to all fans that encountered problems.
Because of how much we value the support of our fans, and understand the imperfections of the live streaming technology, “Best in the World” will be the last iPPV stream that we will be broadcasting live. All future main event shows will now be offered as a Video On Demand, which will allow Ring of Honor to present a flawless show and truly depict the excellence of our product.
From now on, fans can watch ROH Wrestling on TV, VOD, or DVD, however there is still nothing like seeing Ring of Honor in person. We thank you for your continued support and are excited to be moving forward.

Wie wird dann RoH nun dann jetzt weiter vorgehen? Setzt man "nur" noch auf die Einnahmen von den Zuschauer bei ihren Events bzw DVD verkäufen?

Ticketverkäufe, DVD-Verkäufe, Merchandising, Ringside Membership sowie die "iPPVs", welche ab sofort nur noch als Video-On-Demand verkauft werden (sprich fast so wie vorher, nur die Live Übertragung an sich fehlt)

-Invicta:
Invicta 4: 3850 buys
Invicta 5: 5000 buys
Chikara, CZW und Shimmer haben etwa das ROH Niveau was buys betrifft oder sind leicht besser, sind kleiner wie ROH aber haben eine bessere Produktion. ROH hatte einen Schnitt um die 1200 buys pro iPPV.

Von Invicta hab ich noch nie gehört. Ist das Produkt so gut? Der Unterschied bei den Buys im Gegensatz zu Evolve, RoH und CZW ist ja schon recht hoch.
