Steve Gerweck hat heute seine Kolumne online gestellt. Es geht dabei um genau dieses thema, und genau wie ich fragt er sich "Batista Wins at Wrestlemania, and then what?"

“Between The Ropes” Batista Wins at Wrestlemania, and then what?

Batista is going to Wrestlemania and winning the World Heavyweight title. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that with one hundred percent certainty considering who his opponent will be at the Super Bowl of wrestling. After all, Raw is Triple H and McMahon’s son-in-law walks around with what should be renamed the Triple H title.

Ok, with that said, I do believe Batista is leaving Wrestlemania with the golden strap. I have to admit, I have been impressed by the push of Batista and the personality he seemed to develop overnight. Does he deserve the title? Yeah, he seems to be the most over talent on “Raw,” but will he make a quality champion? That is an entirely different topic.

When analyzing Batista’s massive push, the first thought that surfaces is why WWE didn’t give this type of push to Randy Orton. After all, last summer, Orton was the guy the company was grooming for Wrestlemania. The promotion put the title around his waist, but quickly lost faith and hit the panic button.

Comparing Orton and Batista are like comparing apples and oranges. Orton is good worker in the ring, a pretty good promo guy, and has shown signs of becoming a break out star. Batista? Very limited in the ring, not a great talker, but of course, appears to be on the right track.

Do I think Batista will be a good champion or bad champion? From a wrestling stand point, the company will struggle to get quality matches out of him. However, I seem to recall a pretty tall golden haired champion that ripped off t-shirts named Hogan, and he drew the company a few dollars here and there.

So far, the company has done a pretty good job protecting Batista, and not exposing his shortcomings. Triple H is the right guy for Batista to play off, at least for the time being. However, assuming Batista does claim the title at Wrestlemania, and also assuming Batista and Triple H would feud for the next few pay-per-views, where do they go with Batista next?

Face it, Triple H is the most over heel on the show, and of course, that is by design. I think the best solution is to keep Ric Flair with Batista. With Flair publicly kissing “The Game’s” butt on national television, it only makes sense to have a falling out between Flair and Triple H. “The Game” doesn’t need Flair, and Flair doesn’t need Triple H.

I do, however, think Batista needs a mouth piece beyond the Triple H program, and perhaps even during it. I also believe it would make perfect sense to turn Shawn Michaels heel and feud him with Batista after the Triple H story line. I like the possibility of Edge vs. Batista, but Michaels vs. Batista captures my full attention!

Im folgenden Thread habe ich genau das (Triple H & Shawn Michaels) bereits vor genau einem Monat vorgeschlagen ;)

HBK & HHH?

Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen wie man die beiden wieder zusammenbringen kann.
Batista sollte meiner Meinung nach mit Orten einen neuen Stable bilden. Das ganze alls Heelfraktion.
Ich denke Orten hat das Potential beide cool rüber zu bringen. Müssen wir nur noch für HHH eine neue Storyline finden.

da spring ich doch gleich mal drauf, wie soll man die beiden wieder zusammenbringen fragt da paule, tja da unsere sl-writer zur zeit einfach nur scheiße sind hier mal mein vorschlag, vielleicht liest es ja einer der Herren.

HHH wird von Batista abgefertigt, Orten kommt noch hinzu hilft Batista, plötzlich lässt Shawn das Match abläuten, das Licht geht aus, und ja ganz genau it´s DX-Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pyros explodieren wie in guten alten Zeiten, und Shawn streckt HHH mit in der Sweet-Chin-Music nieder!!!!! HHH steht nach einer Zeit auf, und HBK gibt ihm seinen Titel, beide geben sich die Hände und aus dem Hintergrund hört man: "ladies and gentelman, d-generation X proudly brings to you....!"

Verstehe die Diskussion nit. Triple H war nie Face...höchstens nen Mix aus Face/Heel und eben das wird auch bei Batista der Fall sein. Die Aktionen werden weiter so durchgeführt wie bisher, seine Reaktionen werden gleich bleiben...nur die Gegner werden sich wahrscheinlich ändern. Auf jeden Fall sollten sie es vermeiden etwas ähnliches wie Stone Cold aufzubauen...den einsamen Rächer der auf neimanden und nix hört und alles verprügelt...

Eher so wie mal bei Triple H...ich mach meine Sache, die anderen gehen mich nix an...Fans sind mir Schnuppe...
