Das American Film Institute hat nach 1998 jetzt 2007 wieder eine Liste der Top 100 US Filme veroeffentlicht, im CBS Special “AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Movies -- 10th Anniversary Edition”. Die Liste wurde gemacht von insgesamt 1500 Filmproduzenten, Schauspielern, Kritikern, Schreibern, und anderen Hollywood vertrettern.
Citizen Kane der Klassiker von 1941 von Orson Welles blieb auf der #1, andere Filme dagegen machten riesen Spruenge. Raging Bull von Martin Scorsese war 1998 noch auf #24, und schaffte 2007 nun es auf Platz 4. Ein weiterer Klassiker von Alfed Hitchcock “Vertigo“ schaffte es von #61 auf #9. Und den groessten Sprung schaffte einer der besten Western Filme “The Searchers“ mit John Ford und John Wayne von #96 auf #12.
Nur 4 Filme schafften es neu in die Liste zukommen in den letzten 10 Jahren.
