AFA brach gestern bei der WXW Show zusammen.Die folgende Presseerklaerung stammt von der WXW
Tonight World Xtreme Wrestling performed in front of the fans of Sciota.
Making a special appearance was Afa's nephew and WWE RAW Superstar "Rosie", The Super Hero In Training. After intermission, Afa came out to thank the crowd in attendance and his nephew for their support. At which time, WXW's Heavyweight Champion "Mean" Gene Snisky made his way to ringside. What happened next not only left the fans in shock, but the locker room as well.
Gene Snisky was set to go out and work a promo setting up a possible match between himself and Rosie. In what quickly became a verbal assault upon Afa by Gene Snisky quickly turned into a shoving match between Rosie and Snisky.
Now this is where a good gimmick turned bad. In what was set to be a
"physical assault" upon Afa by Snisky, it quickly became a terrifying event as Afa, who was stepping in between Rosie and Gene to separate them, fell to the ground gasping.
WXW officials were equally as shocked as the rest of the locker room to find that this was not the planned format laid out by the booking committee earlier that day. Immediately, members of Afa's family, the locker room, and Dr. Frank Romascavage, Physician in attendance, ran to his aid. Dr. Frank administered smelling salts to help revive Afa, gave him immediate ring side attention, and was then taken to local facilities for medical examination. After examination two separate medical situations were discovered. Due to the stress and high adrenaline of Afa, he underwent a diabetic sugar surge, causing him to temporarily loose consciousness and interrupted his respiratory pattern at the show in Sciota. Secondly, an "undisclosed" medical condition was discovered in which Afa opted home medical care until a date is scheduled for his surgery later this week in St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem PA. Please keep Afa and his family in your prayers and we will keep you up to date as information is made available to us and can be found on
