Die Asiatische Promotion One FC hat nun zwei bekannte Fighter unter Vertrag genommen, Shinya Aoki und Bibiano Fernandes. Die UFC selbst hatte Anfang Juni bekannt gegeben gehabt das Bibiano Fernandes bei UFC 149 auf Ron Delorme trifft, doch Fernandes wiedersprach der Meldung und meinte das er sich zwar mit der UFC geeinigt habe aber keinen Vertrag unterschrieben hatte. Die UFC verhandelte weiter mit Fernandes, doch dieser entschied sich nun fuer den luktrativeren Vertrag von One FC. Shinya Aoki verlaesst seinerseits DREAM und unterschrieb ebenfalls bei One FC einen Multi Fight Vertrag.
Die naechste One FC Show (One FC 5 - Pride of a Nation) findet am 31 August in Manila, Philippines statt. Bei der Show sollen Shinya Aoki, Bibiano Fernandes und Renato Sobral auftretten. One FC CEO Victor Cui meinte:“I am expecting a sellout crowd of 16,500 Filipino fans in Manila on August 31. One FC: Pride of a Nation will be the biggest MMA event in Filipino history. One FC is bringing the most stacked card to Manila with DREAM Champions, URCC Champions, ex UFC stars, Gracie fighters, and more.”
