Senior Referee Bryce Remsburg - 16. April 2010

Ahoy CHIKARA fans! I just got a chance to watch "Wit, Verve, and a Bit o' Nerve" from Easton last month, and while I enjoyed most of the event, the main event left me with quite the bad taste in my mouth. I'm not even talking about the fact that those Swiss intruders are parading around with OUR belts, either. In the final moments of the championship match, that brute Tursas manhandled me, and pulled me from the ring during a routine pinfall count.

Perhaps I was caught up in the emotion of the match, with what was on the line, but I was so taken aback by his actions that I failed to administer a disqualification, which would have awarded the second fall to The Colony. Of course, I hate to dole out such decisions in a title match, but in hindsight, his actions were inexcusable. His distraction of me allowed the Bruderschaft to illegally sway the match, and consequently the Campeonatos de Parejas in their favor.

Obviously there is no instant replay rule in wrestling, and it hasn't been the first time I have missed "rudo indiscretions," but with so much at stake, I feel compelled to publicly apologize for this one. I apologize to the CHIKARA fans, to our Director Dieter, and the Colony in specific for my lapse in judgment. It's easy to get carried away with the action in multiple-man matches, but such control is even harder to maintain when the BDK is involved. Still, that is my job as referee.

With King of Trios 2010 on the horizon, I realize all CHIKARA brass will be on hand, as will every member of the roster. In years past, when a ruling was delivered in error, Leonard Chikarason saw fit to amend the match results after the fact on rare occasions. With that in mind, I am asking that this title match from last month be examined and that the result of the second fall be changed to a disqualification. In my mind, this would mean the titles are held up, and a rematch should be scheduled as quickly as possible. Anything else, in my mind, puts a stain on the legacy of the most prized championship CHIKARA has. We cannot let this stand.

Guten tag.

Thank you, Herr Remsburg, for taking the time to address your concerns about the title change of 20 March here, in a public forum, rather than coming to me directly in my office. We all appreciate you being so forthright. For those of you that don't know, our referees are answerable directly to the Director of Fun, which you may recall, is me.

While I appreciate that my predecessor sometimes decided to retroactively amend match results, I stand firm on the point that our referees, especially a Senior Referee, knows how to make an accurate call in the heat of the moment. After all, Remsburg, isn't that exactly why Chikarason promoted you to the title of Senior Referee?

To clarify, I am denying your request. The titles will not be held up. The Bruderschaft are your Campeones de Parejas now, and probably, until the day CHIKARA is closed. We are not going to start revisiting old match results because a referee has second thoughts. To revisit the result of any bout, let alone a championship bout, in this manner is a veritable Pandora's Box that we will not endeavor to open.

Furthermore, Remsburg - learn your place. We can discuss it in crystalline detail this weekend at King of Trios, if you fail to understand the chain of command, or the proper protocol and etiquette.

Aber mir gefällt die Blog Geschichte zwischen Remsburg und Steigerwalt ... ich glaub da könnte noch was bei King Of Trios passieren, vllt verliert sogar Remsburg den Senior Referee Posten.

Während der Intermission gab es einen animierten Trailer zu einem CHIKARA Videogame namens "Rudo Resurrection".

Immernoch wird heftig debattiert ob das Projekt stimmt oder nur ein neuer SL Verlauf ist, hier auf jeden Fall der imo geniale Trailer zum Spiel.

Dieses Video ist einfach so etwas von krass da kommen mir wirklich fast die Tränen. Diese Musik ist so passend und so wunderschön grausam und passt perfekt zu dem Trailer der sich wirklich mit den ganz grossen Videos messen kann. Mir fällt echt gerade schwer die richtigen Worte zu finden, es ist ein episches Video, aber da das Wort episch im Internet so inflationär gebraucht wird habe ich es absichtlich gemieden. Es ist einfach CHIKARA.

28. April 2010 - Derek Sabato

Hello again CHIKARMY. It's me, the one you hated so much you drove me out of CHIKARA. I was saddened to hear that Leonard F. Chikarason was recently demoted. I was not shocked, as you see, I pointed out over a year ago that LFC was nothing but a "Dictator of Fun," and was going to kill CHIKARA from the inside. No one listened. Everyone just wrote me off. I was forgotten about. Let's get real. No one cared when I was kicked in the face by Brodie, or when I was threatened with a Quackenbush palm strike.

Well back when I was a CHIKARA referee, there was an awkward young man just starting to train at the Wrestle Factory. He was born in Germany, but had been raised in the U.S. All the other trainees used to love making lame "Sprockets" jokes at his expense. They only gave him the most menial of responsibilities. Filling a hat with slips of paper? They degraded him!

Like me, he knew what it was like to be the outcast. I never forgot Dieter. And he never forgot me either.

When a referee has no power over the wrestlers in the ring, no power to preserve the sanctity of our sport, he loses the respect of the fans and his superiors. But I guess that will happen when all you do is buddy up to the fans and the wrestlers instead of keeping your eye on the ball. So when the once lowly trainee Dieter becomes Director of Fun and finds his referees have lost his respect, who does he call?

Isn't it too bad Bryce, after ALL the abuse I endured back in Season 7, that this time it was you who took a little spill. Luckily I was there to make sure justice was done in the finals of the biggest pro-wrestling tournament of the year.

Guten tag.

First, let me offer the warmest congratulations to Ares, Tursas and Claudio Castagnoli, your King of Trios. The Bruderschaft has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have the best trio in the world to offer. That is what the history books will show forevermore. There will never be another trio that could equal them, and so, there will never be need for another King of Trios tournament. The Bruderschaft are the final, and greatest King of Trios.

Like many of you, I was sorry to see Tursas trip and fall on top of Senior Referee Bryce Remsburg during the glorious tournament final at King of Trios. I understand he will be returning to work in a few weeks, and we wish him well. Accidents will happen.

Thankfully, an auxiliary official was standing by the entranceway, just in case an accident were to occur. As soon as word reached the back that he was needed, he raced into action to assure the finals would continue without further interruption. As you obviously know, no one on Earth could kick out from the BDK's bone-shattering move the "Ragnarok." It was clear to all in attendance that Fire Ant was not about to kick out.

Let it be said that VonSteigerwalt is nothing if not fair. I must call attention to the fact that Derek Sabato registered a 3-count in a rapid manner in the tournament final. There are some points that must be clear. First, no one is going to kick out after the Ragnarok, so the briskness of the count is irrelevant. Second, as we have recently established here, the referee's rulings will stand, but I want all to know how seriously I take the integrity of our referees. Thus, to appease those that object to this swift count of the pin, I will suspend Derek Sabato from officiating matches for the next 14 days for this slight deviation from the referee guidelines.
