I have been studying up on your illustrious career ever since Dieter called me and told me that I was being re-booked to face you in Cleveland. Guess I'll have to take out that trash Eddie Kingston a little bit later. No loss. I heard he was on the verge of wetting himself when our match was announced to the dirty internet masses (your bff's.)

So Daniel, I have to tell you, what I have seen of your brief career leaves me a little...underwhelmed. Darren Young beat you. Wade Barrett crushed you. Batista manhandled you. I don't know that you've ever won a match. And me? I'm the YOUNG LIONS CUP champion, kid! I defend my Cup against the best rookies in the world. You couldn't even win the obstacle course on NXT while I am a CHAMPION of men. Tell me, rookie Daniel Bryan, or whatever alias you are using this week, how do you expect to beat me in a singles match?

I saw on YouTube how tough you are in a gang of eight...you managed to take apart a ring and spit on John Cena...but this is a one-on-one wrestling contest we're having in Cleveland (you can take the ring down after the show, noob.) Eight on one? Very impressive. You don't see me hiding behind a big gang of thugs, do you? No. I am my own man. I have blazed a trail in this industry for up-and-coming wrestlers (like the youngsters you see on NXT) to follow. And maybe one day you will, Daniel. But in Cleveland, you best remember - I'm not some muscle-bound klutz that doesn't know how to punch and can barely throw a shoulder tackle. I am the GREATEST YOUNG LIONS CUP CHAMPION OF ALL TIME!

What you and all your loyal Twitter followers need to understand is that wrestling is far more complicated than most people realize. There's a reason why Triple H will make more money this afternoon than you will all year. There's a reason why the Miz still has a job. It's 'cause they have something you know nothing about: charisma. When you have it, combined with great wrestling ability like mine, you're not the "NXT big thing," you already are.

You might be a little confused when you get to CHIKARA. Maybe it would be helpful to pair you with a real "pro," like Lince Dorado or Pinkie Sanchez. They could guide you through the weird world of CHIKARA where there are no "obstacle courses" or "promo challenges" - you're actually going to have to wrestle. Pushing around a Michael Cole or strangling a Justin Roberts is one thing, but facing off with Tim Donst is something else entirely. You're going to be down on the mat with the All-American mat machine, the YLC champ, and the hottest thing going today.

Neben dem Young Lions Cup und den verschiedenen Blog-Zuwortmeldungen der Teilnehmer bahnt sich anscheinend auch der nächste große Schritt in der CHIKARA vs. Bruderschaft des Kreuzes Storyline an. Hier 2 Blogeinträge der letzten Wochen, die auf etwas Großes hindeuten für eine der kommenden CHIKARA Shows.

The time has come for a day most of us could never imagine.

The time has come to put aside the ideological differences and petty squabbles of the past.

They have watched as these infidels have disrespected our traditions, defiled the pride and honor of our organization, and taken our collective destinies on an unwanted detour to satisfy their own selfish whims. They have waited for someone to eradicate the BDK and return CHIKARA to its former resplendency. They have waited for a liberator. A redeemer. A savior. Who will be the one individual to save CHIKARA?

And the answer is - none of us. Who among us can overcome the Bruderschaft as a whole? Tommy Dreamer? Da Soul Touchaz? This is not their war...it is ours. Alone, we have been helpless. Defeated at every turn. But together, we can be unstoppable. We must work together - fight together - to win this war. It is the ONLY way.

A Cibernetico has emerged on our horizon. A Dark Ciberknetico. At the Cibernetico, I will lead the charge. But I will need 7 warriors to stand beside me. The BDK has dismantled my own army...my Neo Solar Temple. So I will rebuild an army. An army without borders. An army fighting not for glory, fame, or gold. An army that will only declare victory when we have finally liberated CHIKARA itself.

And so I aim this call to arms at a select few. To those who - I know - this BDK infiltration strikes at the very hearts of. To those who built CHIKARA. To those who have fought, fallen, and risen up to fight again - month after month and year after year. To those warriors of CHIKARA's original generation. I know the rage that has been boiling up inside each of you and I know that you cannot stand idly by much longer. No more egos, no more factions, and no more division. We must unite.

I hate to admit it, but you're right, Mantis. Thus far, the Bruderschaft has run roughshod over CHIKARA, and we haven't been able to turn the tables on them for more than a moment's time.

We are fractured into tecnicos and rudos, and from there, divided up into groups and teams that individually, are all strong. But we're not an army, not like the BDK. They've got nine warriors, and enough peons in their entourage to make sure the deck is always stacked against us. And fractured as our roster is...well, we haven't stood a chance.

You and I were there, before you tacked a "Black" onto your name, back where it all began. A ragtag group of independent wrestlers trying to shake up the status quo and forge a new path. In those first few years, nobody even knew we existed. CHIKARA wasn't a blip on any radar. But for better or worse, we all stuck together, and look where we are today. Through staying power and sheer force of will, this tiny little organization has blossomed and claimed an influence that is felt throughout the entire wrestling world.

Do you think this Bruderschaft can really undo what we have done? Eradicate the legacy we make stronger with each passing day? I don't know. And I don't care to find out.

You've asked for CHIKARA's original generation to rally to the call. Together, we've accomplished an incredible amount since 2002, and together, we're going to send the BDK packing.

I don't trust you, Mantis, but maybe that doesn't really matter anymore. We're past the point of assigning blame and petty differences.

Es scheint also, dass es 23. Oktober 2010 in Easton, Pennsylvania bei "The Dark Ciberknetico" zu folgendem Match kommen könnte:

Öhm.. kommt mir grad irgendwie bekannt vor.. ;) - 'ne Army aus "tecnicos and rudos" gegen eine Einheit an Gegnern.. *hust* Nexus *hust*^^

Nunja.. ich bin weitab hier wirklich mitreden zu können.. aber In-Ring und auch diesem Comic-Style von CHIKARA kann ich was abgewinnen. Dazu nutzen auch sie die neuen Medien.
Nur.. wenn man Mainstream schon 30+ Minuten 7on7 bringt.. wie lang geht sowas im Indybereich? soviel Mehrzeit wird da auch nicht mehr drin sein, oder?

Kommt natürlich auf den Rest der Card an ... aber ich geh davon aus, dass dieses 7 on 7 das diesjährige Torneo Increible Match sein wird (sprich die jährliche CHIKARA Cibernetico Tradition wo im Elimination Style Gegner eliminiert werden und dann die Überlebenden des Sieger Teams gegeneinander im Elimination Stil weitermachen bis irgendjemand dann das Torneo am Ende gewinnt).

Das war in den letzten beiden Jahren zwar immer ein 8 vs. 8 Elimination Match ... aber da gab es folgende Matchzeiten:

2008 -> Sieger: Jimmy "Equinox" Olsen - Matchdauer: 76 Minuten 6 Sekunden

2009 -> Sieger: Carpenter Ant (der sich ja später als Tecnico Infiltrator Pinkie Sanchez offenbarte) - Matchdauer: 51 Minuten 20 Sekunden


;) Also ja ich rechne so mit ner Matzchdauer von 45 Minuten Plus.



Übrigens noch ne interessante Anekdote zu CHIKARASAURUS REX mit ner interessanten potentiellen Storylineentwicklung.

Das Besondere daran?

Dieses Gimmick eines Zeitreisenden aus der Zukunft spielte letztes JAhr eine zentrale Rolle bei UltraMantis Black, denn er assozierte sich während der Eye Of Tyr Storyline (Hier übrigens nochmal die EMpfehlung an meine Destiny Calls Kolumne dazu, siehe Ausgangsposting dieses Threads) mit dem Neo Solar Temple und war letztlich dafür verantwortlich, dass UMB sein Eye Of Tyr an die BDK verlor.

Hinter der Maske von Vökoder versteckte sich die BDK Rudo-Infiltrations-Einheit .... Tim Donst

Was hat es also nu mit dieser mysteriösen Erscheinung auf sich?

HOLY SHIT!.. über eine Stunde.. da gibt es kaum einen Royal-Rumble auf WWE-Seite, der die Zeit bringt - und das sind 30 Mann.

Ein Zeitreisender aus der Zukunft (ok, der Name is iwie crap.. aber gut).. wie geil ey.. - ich glaub ich muss mich echt ma einlesen.. ich find sowas witzig. ;)

Mach das echt ma ... ich hab mich bemüht in der Kolumne nen guten Überblick zu bieten über diese crazy gimmicks ... und wie gesagt ... die BDK Storyline ist eigentlich nur die Weiterführung einer Storyline, die 2005 anfing. Da sag mal einer, man kann nicht langfristig Spannung in SLs entwickeln (gut WWE und TNA können das net, was ja das Hauptthema meiner Kolume dazu war - CHIKARA ist ja nur nen Beispiel dafür WIE man auch interessant langfristig was planen kann)


Edit: @Battle Royal ... ich hab grad mal geschaut ... es gab tatsächlich KEINEN Rumble, der diese Zeit erreichte. Der längste war 2002 mit 69 Minuten.

Aber wenns danach geht ... da sind ja so einige Matches, die die Rumble Distanz toppten ... spontan fällt mir da z.B. auch bei ROH das 75 Minuten 2 out of 3 Falls Match zwischen Danielson und Austin Aries von 2004 ein.

Jop ... es fing damals eigtl mit ner "simplen" 2-Jahres-Fehde zwischen Chris Hero und Mike Quackenbush an.
