Glaube ich eher weniger, da es eigentlich nur ein Gimmickname ist und er eine Art Retro-Baseballspieler porträtiert (zusammen mit Sugar Dunkerton, der eine Art Harlem Globetrotter Retro-Basketballer-Gimmick hat). Prinzipiell ausschließen kann man es natürlich nicht, da meines Wissens der Name des Wrestlers nicht bekannt ist, aber er ist anfänglich als Create-A-Wrestler bei CHIKARA aufgetreten (der quasi wie bei den Konsolenspielen sich eigene Gimmicks kreierte, die aber aufgrund eines Speicherproblems immer wieder gelöscht wurden - darunter Ultimo Breakfast und Moscow The Communist Bovine). Hatfield kam so gut beim Publikum an, dass er in einer Art Storyline seine Memory Card Probleme beheben konnte und seitdem dauerhaft als Dasher Hatfield antritt. Außer dass er wohl 25 Jahre ist und aus der CHIKARA Wrestle Factory stammt, ist nicht viel bekannt.

Hello CHIKARA fans!

It's your Director of Fun here, Wink Vavasseur, popping in with a quick update on the "12 Large: Summit" round-robin tournament that starts this weekend in Easton: Amasis has been injured and is forced to take himself out of the competition. I'm sure you all had the same concern that I did upon hearing this news, so I went ahead and did some follow-up research. As it turns out, Amasis is the guy from the Osirian Portal. I've actually met him several times and "Amasis" is his name; I'm not even sure what I've been calling him, but it sure wasn't that! Oh, also, he'll be fine by next year, I'm pretty sure. He will, however, miss out on the tournament.

Of course, now this leaves an open spot to be filled. Had the tournament already started, his 5 opponents in Block A would all automatically collect points for those forfeit wins. But since the tournament does not start for a few more days, I think it's reasonable to substitute a different wrestler in his place. I think the only fair thing to do is to swap him out for another one of the Osirians.

On the one hand, you've got Hieracon, the birdman himself, Jonathan Gresham - risen like a phoenix (which is another kind of bird, albeit a mythical one), a man with something to prove. He sports a solid physique, and a charming smile. You gotta hand it to the guy - he's been really quite impressive since I introduced him to those other two fellows. I see big things in his future.

And on the other hand, we have Ophidian, which I found out is the name of the guy with the snake-face. He's the vaguely dirty one with a sibilance problem. Two eligible competitors, but only one shall replace the "Funky Pharaoh." The wrestlers had their say, so now it is your turn, grapple fans. I will have a poll posted up on the official fan message board for you to voice your opinion! You've got just 5 days to cast your vote. It's kind of like a primary of the Portal Party, choosing a candidate to replace the incumbent Amasis. So, head on over to the Forums at CHIKARA101.com and exercise your rights!

The choice is yours, CHIKARA SOLDIERS: Hieracon or ol' Snakeface.

What a crazy couple of weeks it's been. In case you haven't heard, The Colony won the biggest tournament in professional wrestling - King Of Trios 2011! However, I'm not writing this blog to brag about the outcome of the tournament. I'm here to address a couple of thorns I've had in my side.

I'm talking about the BDK's slimy little stepchild, Jakob Hammermeier. I'm talking about the big, ugly 375-pound Viking with the nappy beard, Tursas. It seems like this two-man freakshow has made it their mission to see how many underhanded acts of rule-breaking tomfoolery they can get away with on every card. I mean, Jakob's finishing maneuver is having his pathetic, lifeless body dragged over some poor sap that just got blindsided by an interfering Tursas.

That brings me back to CHIKARA's "Creatures from the Tar Swamp" event in Brooklyn earlier this year. In the most embarassing moment of my career, with help from about seventeen of his friends and the worst referee in the sport, Jakob managed to get a pinfall win over me. Then, only a month later at the Fan Conclave, I stepped up to the challenge of bodyslamming the 400-pounder that crushed me in Brooklyn. I was about two seconds away from scooping the beast off of his feet when Jakob decided to get involved, and clipped my knee out from behind. Of course, later that night I would get a bit of revenge by finally picking the 425-pound viking up over my head and slamming him to the mat, and then making his little buddy tap out with the Torture Rack.

Jakob, Tursas, you can play the numbers game with the BDK, hide in multiple-man matches, but make no mistake about it - Green Ant has your number! I'm calling you out, Hammermeier! Let's you and I tie up one more time - mano a mano! And as for you Tursas, once I'm done putting Jakob in his place, I am coming for you next! I know I've got what it takes to beat you, and I won't stop until the world knows it too!

Hey STIGMA, I just wanted to let you know that I read you blog, and I have to say I was pretty entertained. I see exactly what you're trying to do here, you're trying to stir the pot and I admire the effort. It's common knowledge that Shane has a bit of a short fuse. The man gets riled up very easily. However, when it comes to me, STIG, you have to bring your "A Game" to get a rise out of me. You said that so many people have wanted to knock your buddy Vin's block off and failed. About how "Vin's sleaze is time-tested. He'll make you so angry that you can't think and then before you know it - you're off your game and The UnStable is victorious." But really, who are you trying to convince, us or yourself?

You wear a mask with a menacing scary-looking face on it but I'm here to tell you, without a single ounce of "mind games," that I see right though it. Underneath your big, red, spiky mohawk and behind those silver mesh eyes lies a yellow haired mullet and a big goofy grin. Now don't get it twisted, I take NOTHING away from you as a competitor. You and I have stood across the ring from each other numerous times and I have no shame in admitting that I hurt for weeks after squaring off with you.

But you are making one very large mistake. It seems like time in and time out, 3.0 has to come out and prove ourselves to people who think we're nothing but a punchline. Nothing but a couple of goofballs who horse around for the amusement of the fans. While the last part is true, to an extent, I think it's time that you and others realize that when it's time to go, we have no trouble doing what it takes to get the job done. If you need references ask the guys who have underestimated us before. Ask F.I.S.T., ask Claudio and Ares. I'm sure you'll find your answers there.

If that insn't good enough for you then I have a better idea. Rather than let this meander on and never really get any closure, let's get real. Let's put all our cards on the table. You think this is nothing but a joke, UnStable??? How about this for a laugh, May 21 in Easton PA it's 3.0 versus The UnStable, with the losing duo to NEVER team again in CHIKARA.

This all ends for one of us in Easton. And like others have found out, it's not very funny when you're the punchline of a joke.

The "12 Large: Summit" is about to begin. This tournament will crown the very best, the one true champion of CHIKARA - me. Its round robin format does not allow for flukes. The cream will rise to the top, as you will see.

It disgusts me that this championship tournament has been infested by the likes of Eddie Kingston. A man with no honor. A man with no respect. Even having him as a competitor sullies the grandeur of this championship. Whoever voted for Kingston to be included is a misguided fool.

The very thought of this title belt being around the overweight waist of Eddie Kingston is infuriating to me. Of course, even if he should win his block in the tournament, he will never get past me on 13 November. But let it be known right now - you will not be in that final match, Eddie Kingston. You will not make it.

As Director of Fun Vavasseur stated in his blog, if a tournament competitor is injured, he will forfeit all of his matches. He will earn no points. An injured competitor will be at the bottom of his block, not the top. An injured competitor won't even be able to get a ticket for the event of 13 November where I, Claudio Castagnoli, am declared the one, true CHIKARA champion. You can watch from your moldy couch, Eddie, as that belt is placed around my waist, and even if you cannot open your mouth more than a few millimeters, you will at last admit that you respect me.

Years from now, when my medley of masterful machinations has been made manifest, and the all world calls me "melodic master," will my endless auxiliary reflect upon this moment – that in which I lie cradled in the dread of my lilting lair, delighting in victory’s sweet nectar and writing run-ons riddled with rapier rhapsody – to recognize the foreboding beat which foretokened my future? That which drums on even now, ruthless and without relent? (These night classes at the Manga Khan School of Melodrama are really paying off!)

Regardless, in the immediate, my sights are set on this Aniversario character and his dubious comrades. It seems one of them – a certain Frightmare – aims to impede my ascension in the town of Easton. Based on the name, I must assume she is mare – a female horse – hideously disfigured or perverted by cybernetics – more machine than beast. A natural progression, I suppose. First, I defeat the Colt; now, I must face the ‘Mare. A mother always protects her young.

The following night, I march into seedy Union City to face Sugar Dunkerton. On the surface, it may appear the age-old tale: Jock vs. Geek. And I agree – given that I am up every morning practicing my routines like a top-tier athlete, he does look like a geek in comparison. But I believe he also plays a sport called “the hoops” (Reminder to self: investigate this recreation – likely nefarious.) While I will not write him off as a mere geek, I must admit that I have trouble taking him seriously as a threat, given his goofy, colorful outfit and boisterous demeanor.

What is this Aniversario’s end-game? Will his henchman have what it takes to topple Marchie Archie? Will the CHIKARA faithful get to see the showdown they have long thirsted for between Archibald Peck and his nemesis Aniversario? These questions and so much more will be answered this weekend at...CHIKARA!

Hahahahaha!

I've been resting since the Aniversario weekend, enjoying the sweet taste of victory. First, a little revenge on the ants (in your face, Green Ant!) und then I threw a no-hitter against Dasher Hatfield in a clean win, fair und square! After mein hard fought victory over Dasher Hatfield, mein trainers came out to sing mein post-game praises, which made me the happiest boy in the world!

Which brings me to mein point. Now, as all of you can plainly see, mein wrestling has been steadily improving after every match I have. This of course, has everything to do with the world-class training that both of mein trainers have been bestowing upon me. I trained personally with Ares before Aniversario, only to be met with success in the ring all weekend long. Now with the Young Lions Cup tournament in the semi-distant future, I humbly am asking you, Claudio Castagnoli, for some field training to prepare me to bring the YLC back to the rightful place of the BDK. It is high time the BDK reclaims the RESPEKT of all the CHIKARA locker room. Let us destroy CHIKARA's best in tag team competition!

joa.. erwischt.. ich böser Blog-Kopierer ich ;) --- ich hab hier aber inzwischen eh eine andere Form der Präsentation im Sinn, daher kommt da diese Woche lediglich der Ausblick auf das kommende Event-Wochende, sprich die Cards. diese Meldung postete Independent Wrestler Brodie Lee vor rund zwei Wochen. Die Verletzung zog er sich bei der DGUSA Anniversary Show vom 05.06.2011 in New York zu. Für das kommende CHIKARA Wochenende wurden einige Änderungen vorgenommen und Lee's 12-Large Summit Matches vorerst verschoben.
