Das dürfte dann wohl das niedrigste Rating dieses Jahres sein, sollte man PWT Glauben schenken. Kein gutes Zeichen, wenn man bedenkt, dass der größte PPV des Jahres bevorsteht.

Diese Woche war die Konkurrenz ein großes Problem. Zum anderen scheinen die Wrestling-Sendungen in letzter Zeit alle an Zuschauern zu verlieren. Bei RAW kann man neuerdings mit einem Rating über 2,9 zufrieden sein (liegt zum größten Teil wohl auch an der starken Konkurrenz in Form der Sportsendungen und neuen Serien).

So kurz vor Bound for Glory natürlich nicht sehr erfreulich, aber was soll man als Außenstehender großartig machen. Eigentlich kann man nur hoffen, dass das Rating nächste Woche besser ausfällt.

It should be noted that Jersey Shore had 6,599,000 viewers, and MLB Baseball had 9,720,000 viewers and a 6.2 ratng. New York DMA had a 18.3 Household rating and the Detroit DMA had a 27.6 Household rating.

Baseball und Serien schnappen TNA und der WWE leider immer ziemlich viele Zuschauer weg - aber ich kann es schon verstehen. Wenn im Fernsehen zur gleichen Zeit eine Wrestling-Sendung und ein Fußballspiel laufen würden, dann würde ich mich auch für das Fußballspiel entscheiden ;)

Eigentlich schade, da das Produkt zur Zeit wieder richtig Spaß macht...aber dermaßen starker Konkurrenz...was will man machen?

;) Da ist man im Grunde machtlos. Da kann das Produkt so gut sein wie es will - NFL (sowie auch Baseball, Eishockey und Basketball Playoffs) und bekannte Serien werden immer Massen anlocken, da ist Wrestling (heutzutage zumindest) meistens nur die zweite oder dritte Wahl.
Außerdem muss man sagen, dass die Konkurrenz am Donnerstag ja ganz besonders stark ist. Impact ist zwar meistens die Nummer 1 oder 2 von SpikeTV, aber trotzdem nur auf ~Platz 25 im ganzen Cable. So stark ist die Konkurrenz an diesem Tag.

- Die aktuelle Ausgabe von IMPACT Wrestling erreichte bei der Ausstrahlung am Donnerstag, den 13.10.2011 ein Rating von exakt 1.05 Punkten. Im Vergleich zur Vorwoche verbesserte sich der Wert somit um 0.04 Punkte. Auch in Sachen Zuschauerzahlen ging es bergauf. So haben 1.438.000 Menschen die Ausgabe am Donnerstagabend verfolgt - 62.000 mehr als in der Woche zuvor. Im Main Event kam es zu einem Two On One Handicap Match zwischen Bobby Roode und Gunner & Jeff Jarrett.

Für mich wieder mal der Beweis, dass gute Shows nicht zwingend gute Ratings bedeuten. Und diese Woche war die Konkurrent bei weitem nicht so stark vertreten wie in der letzten Woche.

Die Viertelstundenwerte zur Ausgabe lesen sich wie folgt:

TNA Impact Wrestling last Thursday, October 13 scored a 1.05 rating off a first hour 1.05 rating and second hour 1.04 rating.

The quarter-hour ratings were very steady during the middle portion of the show, ranging from a 1.03 to 1.09 rating. The beginning and ending showed more variance with a 1.00 rating to open Impact, a 0.95 rating in Q7, and a 1.10 rating in Q8 to conclude Impact.

The 1.10 rating in the final quarter-hour was the highest rating of the show, just topping Q2 and Q3, which scored 1.09 ratings. The final quarter-hour featured the end of the Robert Roode vs. Immortal handicap match and beginning of the Sting-Hulk Hogan contract signing segment.


Each quarter-hour was below its corresponding yearly average, showing the entire episode was down. It marked the second consecutive week the entire show has been below the periodic average.

First Hour Break Down

Q1: Impact opened with a 1.00 rating for the final confrontation between Robert Roode and Kurt Angle before Bound for Glory. It was essentially flat with a 1.02 rating the previous week to begin Impact. (down 15.0% vs. 2011-Q1 average)

Q2: Impact increased to a first-hour high 1.09 rating for A.J. Styles & RVD vs. Jerry Lynn & Daniels, plus one commercial break and Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe. (down 5.7% vs. 2011-Q2 average)

Q3: Impact scored another 1.09 rating for the Joe-Morgan post-match, one full commercial, the Mexican America-Ink, Inc. verbal exchange, and half of another commercial. (down 6.3% vs. 2011-Q3 average)

Q4: Impact declined to a 1.03 rating for a segment that started with the second-half of a commercial and included Austin Aries & Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick & Jesse Sorensen and a full commercial break. (down 7.9% vs. 2011-Q4 average)

Second Hour Break Down

Q5: Impact opened with only a slight uptick to a 1.06 rating for the lengthy Knockouts in-ring segment featuring virtually the entire roster (apparently indicating viewers are more interested in a few rather than the entire sum of the parts), plus one commercial. (down 14.2% vs. 2011-Q5 average)

Q6: Impact dipped slightly to a 1.04 rating for Mr. Anderson vs. Scott Steiner, a lengthy post-match with Immortal and Abyss, one full commercial, and Angle talking to James Storm backstage. (down 10.7% vs. 2011-Q6 average)

Q7: Impact bottomed out for the night with a 0.95 rating. The segment featured various non-wrestling segments including the announcers on-camera, a hype video for Robert Roode, and the first-half of Roode vs. Immortal in a handicap match. (down 17.2% vs. 2011-Q7 average)

Q8: Impact finished with a show-high 1.10 rating for the end of Roode-Immortal, post-match, one full commercial, and the first part of the Sting-Hogan contract signing segment. (down 8.0% vs. 2011-Q8 average of a 1.20 rating to conclude Impact)

The following is a comparison of the last four weeks of Q8 ratings to conclude Impact:

9/22 - 1.08 rating
9/29 - 1.15 rating
10/6 - 1.07 rating
10/13 - 1.10 rating

Im Vergleich zur Vorwoche verbesserte sich der Wert somit um ganze 0.30 Punkte. Auch in Sachen Zuschauerzahlen ging es steil bergauf. So haben 2.019.000 Menschen die Ausgabe am Donnerstagabend verfolgt - 581.000 mehr als in der Woche zuvor. Somit konnte die Ausgabe die besten Werte des gesamten Jahres einfahren. Im Main Event der Show kam es zu einem TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match zwischen Kurt Angle und James Storm.

Aber natürlich werden jetzt viele wieder rumjubeln und reden dass TNA alles richtig gemacht hat bzw. Storm der Ratingmagnet is oder Hulkamania still wild running ist .... aber das hohe Rating bestand sicherlich aus einigen die via Twitter/Social Media vom Titelwechsel mitbekommen haben und einfach mal reinschauten.

Ich wusste, dass mindestens ein Witz zum Slogan kommt - ist bei sechs Minuten Wrestling allerdings auch nicht verwunderlich.

Außerdem liegt es auch daran, dass es die erste Ausgabe nach Bound for Glory war. Letztes Jahr konnte man bei der ersten Ausgabe nach BfG ein ähnlich hohes Rating einfahren (1.4). Bin schon auf die folgenden Ratings gespannt, wobei zu befürchten ist, dass es sich wieder bei 1.0 - 1.1 einpendelt.
