NWA/WCW Clash of the Champions Thread

Der Clash of th Champions koennte man auch als Clash of the Vacant Title`s bezeichnen.Zum einen fuehrte die WCW damals denn Light Heavyweight Title ein,eine art Cruiserweight Title der Fruehgeschichte der Promotion.Dann war zu jener Zeit auch noch der NWA World Heavyweight Title Vacant weil Ric Flair die Promotion kurz zuvor verliess.Und die Tag Team Title waren auch noch Vacant weil Scott Steiner seinen Bizzeps sich riss und somit den Steiner Brothers die Title abgenommen wurden.Bei diesem Clash viele bezeichnen ihn auch als den ersten Event nach der Flair Era stach vorallem Steve Austin vs Tom Zenk heraus die wirklich ein gutes Match ablieferten.Ansonsten sah man natuerlich das Problem des Clash of the Champions,die zu kurzen Matchzeiten die eben durch die Free TV uebertragung resultieren.

Leider war das der erfolgloseste COTC Event aller Zeiten. Wie ich in meiner Pillman Biographie schrieb gab man den Hollywood Blondes daran die schuld. Ein paar Monate spaeter wurden sie gesplittet und damit eins der besten Tag Teams aufgeloest die es gab.
