Jay Briscoe könnte imo sogar Hero besiegen ... aber No Way, dass Mark Briscoe neuer #1 Seed wird. Never ever. Hier übrigens mal komplett die Mitteilung im Original.
Zitat:Kings Seeking Champion's Gold
Fresh off a win in Los Angeles in their huge 8-man tag team war with The Briscoes and Young Bucks, Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero contacted ROH officials Monday afternoon feeling particularly braggadocios. “So when do we get our title shot,” questioned Hero. “We’ve now showed twice who the real Kings are.” Claudio Castagnoli added, “No one deserves championship gold more than the Kings of Wrestling.”
Although one could argue that there may be something credible in their claims, ROH officials pointed out that it was Eddie Edwards who was directly responsible for the Los Angeles victory, and neither of the Briscoe Brothers tapped out. But to be fair, the Briscoes have also contacted ROH looking for some much deserved retribution after the beatdown at “Final Battle 2009” and the events in Los Angeles.
“Hero and Claudio ducked out last time we came to Philly, ran off to Japan like a couple of little (expletive),” said Jay Briscoe. “But you ain’t running this time. You want these belts, earn it like men. Step into the ring with me and my brother face-to-face, not like some yellow back-jumping punks.”
After much back-and-forth discussion (and argument), ROH officials came to a resolution that works for both parties. It is understood that the Kings want the gold and that the Briscoes want to get their hands on the Kings, but with other teams in line for title matches (including the American Wolves who are entitled to a title rematch), both teams will have to settle for singles competition. And it begins this weekend! This Friday night, February 5th, Chris Hero will take on Jay Briscoe and on Saturday night, February 6th, Mark Briscoe will go against Claudio Castagnoli.
As expected, Shane Hagadorn of course threw in his two cents, stating, “The Briscoes want to take a shot at the Kings, fine! But we have nothing to prove after Los Angeles. There is NO reason Hero and Claudio shouldn’t be getting a shot at the belts! So what if we make the pot sweeter? What if we all go all in? What if we put our Pick 6 spots on the line? The Kings beat you, they get their shot. You beat the Kings, you take their spots. We’re willing to put it all on the table, are you?”
The Briscoes were quick to jump at the chance, “We didn’t care if the Pick 6 was on the line or not,” said Mark Briscoe. “If they dumb enough to give us that, then damn sure we’ll take it!” With that it’s settled, the KoW and Briscoes will do battle and now there is more than pride at stake. With Hero ranked third and Claudio holding the top spot in the Pick 6, the brothers from Delaware could walk out of Philly with their belts AND World Title opportunities in hand. Claudio and Hero could get knocked down a peg, but their confidence is at an all time high after their outstanding tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH and the huge victory in Los Angeles. This war is just beginning.
Tickets are on sale right now for this Friday and Saturday night in Philadelphia. Be there as ROH films another round of “the best wrestling on television with these two huge Pick 6 challenges, not to mention the crowning of the ROH TV Champion!
