Hier mal paar Interviewauszüge mit Kevin Steen - er verspricht nahezu, dass er bei einer Niederlage nicht mehr zu ROH zurückkehren wird:
Oh man ....
Zitat:"I think this feud could last another year if we had to, but this is going to end Saturday," Steen said Tuesday in a telephone interview. "This isn't 'If a certain wrestler doesn't help me win the title (i.e., Cena), I'll be fired but then be back on TV in a week.' If I lose, he's gone. If I win, you'll see Generico like you've never seen him."
Zitat:"We thought about this long and hard," Steen said. "We came up with so many twists and turns to keep things interesting. But the big thing is we had the trust of Ring of Honor. They trusted our vision when we started."
Zitat:"In WWE, it seems like wrestlers aren't given enough credit and freedom to come up with their own thing," Steen said. "During my entire career, I've never performed as well as when I was emotionally invested in what I was doing. A lot of that is gone in wrestling."
Zitat:"Our characters are so different, but we're always attached to each other," a laughing Steen said. That history does create a challenge for Steen and Generico to produce a fresh bout at "Final Battle 2010," especially because many ROH fans are hard-core enough to also follow the duo's matches on the independent circuit.
"Nobody in the world gets as crazy with him in the ring, and he knows I feel the same about him," Steen said. "It's an advantage knowing each other so well. With as much hype as there's been about this, I want to be in there with the guy I know best."
Zitat:"I think I was pretty decent before the feud started, but I'm a lot better now at creating the exact emotions I want (from the fans)," said Steen, 26. "I remember when I first turned on him, I was acting a little crazy. People really did start to think, 'Oh Steen, he's lost it.' That's something I've never done before."
And unless he wins Saturday, Steen promises he won't be doing his shtick again in ROH.
"This is a huge deal, especially with what's at stake," Steen said. "It's the biggest match of both of our careers. I'm really looking forward to it."
Oh man ....
