It has become crystal clear to me, that Sinn Bodhi does not like to play nicely. He turns my dark army against me. He attacks me without provocation. He dares to destroy the one thing sacred to me in the ring - my mask, which is my very identity. Now, as we head towards King of Trios 2011, Sinn is attempting to lead his demons into a tournament that myself, Hallowicked, and Frightmare have targeted as an elusive piece in our own cosmic puzzle. If he has even an inkling of a thought to derail our destiny under contemplation, then The Spectral Envoy promises to not only ruin Kizarny, but to incinerate his allies and underlings as well.

However, there are still a great many chapters to this story that have yet to be written. Because you see, Hallowicked and I have much more in common than simply an issue with The Batiri. When Incoherence agreed to join forces with the great and devious UltraMantis Black in a bid to avenge the transgressions of the demons, it did in fact come with some strings attached. In return, I vowed to Hallowicked that I would indeed right past wrongs - namely, my macabre manipulation of Delirious.

And so the time draws near for me to seal our agreement. I have no misgivings and rest assured, I WILL do what needs to be done.

Greetings!

It's your trusty Director of Fun here, Wink Vavasseur! Before I get to my first order of business, just a few updates since my last blogpost: let me say that the response to my call for a CHIKARA fan nickname was eye-opening, to say the least. As it turns out, there has been a name all along: The CHIKARMY! Well, now I know. (Personally, I was partial to "CHIKARGONAUTS", but that's just me.)

Now, on to the business at hand; first, allow me to address a plea that has been directed at me. Madison Eagles, that consistent presence of Season 10, has declared her worthiness for inclusion in the roster-only voting for CHIKARA's first champion. Due to her persistence and performance, I'm going to approve her eligibility. I mean, an all-American name like Madison Eagles just screams "championer of democracy," right? Also, seeing her wrestle at so many events, I kind of just assumed she was already on the roster. So, Mz. Eagles, consider yourself added to my spreadsheet. Good luck voting!

Similarly, there's another character I was shocked to hear from. More than shocked, I was SHELL-shocked! So, I say, what the SHELL - (sorry, let's keep this family-friendly) - what the SHECK, let's give him a vote! And also, let's go ahead and...whoops, I thought I had another turtle pun ready there, but I lost it...anyway, I'm talking about Steven Weiner. He gets a vote, too. But that's it! Enough begging! The next thing you know, Leonard is going to want a vote and that's where I draw the line.

(Just days away... King of Trios 2011)

To bring all you fans and wrestlers up to speed on the timeline of things, let me reiterate that the roster's votes will be gathered before or during the King of Trios tournament on April 15th, 16th & 17th, and that will be that. I will not be granting any deadline extensions; I'm not the IRS! Also, just a reminder, make sure to file your taxes by Friday, April 15th (incidentally, the first day of King of Trios.) It's an easy-to-remember date!

An odd occurrence has been happening over the past week or so; I've been getting a flurry of text messages in what appears to be a foreign language. At first, of course, I assumed it was from one of my many international business clients (I've mentioned I'm an internationally-renowned business guru, right?) Upon further inspection, they turned out to be a series of complaints from a Mr. Hammermeier. It seems Jakob is claiming some misdoings by Green Ant. At first, I assumed Jakob was GREEN with envy! Ha! But, as a self-proclaimed Defender of Fairness, I decided to grant him the possibility and I reviewed the recent CHIKARA DVD footage. As much as it pains me to side with our German-speaking announcer-turned-wrestler, I'm forced to agree that, yes, the surgically-implanted metal in Green Ant's arm does give him an unfair advantage. I'm not saying he was cheating and I will not be overturning any match outcomes, but, going forward, Green Ant must wear some sort of pad over that part of his arm.

Sir Winston Churchill once said: "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." This undoubtedly summarizes how I feel about the newest idea of CHIKARA's Director of Fun - casting votes to determine eligibility for the most important championship. Look at the "voters" in this case, and you'll quickly find out, that more than half cannot be trusted.

It has been a bit of a rough time for me the past few months. Things have...let's say they have not exactly turned out the way I have planned. But even the best plans have flaws. You have to recognize those. You have to face your mistakes. And you have to correct them. There is no shame in taking time to regroup and restrategize.

I, Ares, am very good at various things. Not only am I extraordinary when it comes to leadership, I am even better at adjusting to new situations, changing gears, and coming up with new plans. And I am ready. Ready to face the consequences of my mistakes. Yes, I might have lost the Titel des Teamwettkampfes. Yes, I might not have had a lot of success the past few months. But this is unimportant now. There are new and exciting things ahead of me, and ahead of the Bruderschaft.

As much as I disagree with the methods of this sorry new Director of Fun, I agree that it is long overdue that there is a special recognition for a special individual in CHIKARA. The name of this recognition is as unimportant as the means of the coronation. But it is quite obvious who this honor belongs to. It is obvious to ME, and it is obvious to each and every member of the BDK. And it should be obvious to you as well.

Scum like Mike Quackenbush, Eddie Kingston or even Green Ant might try to seduce you into believing that they are the right people for this new title. That they can give you something that you want. But it is the struggle of all great leaders to convince simple people like you of the obvious: those mentioned have nothing to give you, and they don't care more about you than I do. You just have to open your eyes and wash away the veil of ignorance.

We at the Bruderschaft have our eyes open. And we are ready. We will not be distracted by the pathetic machinations of that complete failure UltraMantis. We will not waste time on the ramblings of a Madison Eagles or Sugar Dunkerton, as they are beneath our notice. We will unleash a wave of fury that will give new meaning to the term "warfare." And when the strongest among us - Herr Castagnoli - is affirmed as the ultimate champion of CHIKARA, and our brightest prospect Tim Donst leads the BDK to King of Trios victory, our power will be restored.

If anyone needs a clear definition of the word, I welcome you to take a glimpse into the mind of one Shane Matthews. When we were asked to shed some light on the current situation, Shane fired back an e-mail in reply. It was quickly returned to sender and deemed "not exactly family-friendly."

Vin Gerard, you crossed a line in Brooklyn. I realize that Shane and myself are largely to blame for this whole mess but YOU, Vin, are the one who took it down a very dark path. You've started something that I'm not quite sure you're capable of finishing, but believe me when I tell that WE are.

Let's find out who's more "unstable" now.
