Der UFC Director of Operations Tim Wright sagte das es Planungen gibt die erste UFC Show in New Zealand abzuhalten, das soll jedoch erst 2015 stattfinden: “I was in Auckland two days ago. I went to the Vector Arena, which is a potential place we would go there. I met with some officials from the New Zealand Mixed-Martial Arts Association and I had a chance to get a better sense for Auckland, and we’d love to go there. We know it’s a strong market for us. Auckland would be the first place we go to. We’re very excited about that opportunity. It wouldn’t be until probably 2015 or 2016, but Auckland is absolutely on our radar. We’ve got some great Kiwi fighters, Mark Hunt is born in New Zealand, James Te Huna is from New Zealand, and I’d love to see it happen.”
