Noch Mal zurueck zum eigentlichen Topic.
James Dixon ist in seinen Buechern ueber die WCW und WWF 1995 &1996 auch auf die damalige Situation eingegangen. Bischoff hat ja zuerst Vader suspendiert fuer 6 Monate, aufgrund der Backstage Schlaegerei mit Paul Orndorff am 30. August 1995. Als Vader jedoch nicht darauf einging, hat Bischoff ihn gefeuert.
Vader`s urspruenglicher Vertrag waere noch bis 1999 gegangen, also noch weitere vier Jahre. Im Idealfall waere er einer der Top Faces gewesen gegen die NWO, an der Seite von Sting, Luger, Savage…allerdings ist die Chance gross, das er ein Opfer der NWO gewesen waere.
Zu Luger: Bischoff machte Lex Luger ein lowball Angebot von $150,000 pro Jahr. Sting wollte das Bischoff seinen Freund Luger verpflichtet, aber Bischoff wollte ihn nicht wirklich, daher das niedrige Angebot. Bei der WWF verdiente Luger $500,000 pro Jahr, also einiges mehr. Allerdings nahm Luger das zweite WCW Angebot an (nachdem Vader gefeuert wurde, und Bischoff ihm ein etwas besseres Angebot machte), weil er von Vince keine Garantie zu einem zukuenftigen Push bekam, und Luger befuerchtete, dass er langfristig weniger verdient, und bei der WCW er mehr Chancen sah.
Interessant fand ich auch, dass der PW Torch bereits 2 Wochen vorher von einem moeglichen Wechsel von Lex Luger zur WCW berichtete. Das war mir so auch nicht in Erinnerung.

"It's unsubstantiated at the moment, but it's worth noting that a lot of signs points towards Lex Luger giving his notice to the WWF to join WCW. (1) The Allied Powers match was inexplicably pulled from SummerSlam; (2) The Bulldog turned heel and became a singles wrestler this weekend leaving Luger with no set role; (3) Luger was not played into the angle of Bulldog's turn; (4) WCW has talked about signing a major name; (5) Luger has talked about leaving the WWF for quite a while."
Pro Wrestling Torch #350, 26 August 1995:
"Lex Luger is still with the WWF. Sources say Luger gave his notice to the WWF, anticipating an offer to work with WCW. Sting, who co-owns gyms in the Atlanta area with Luger pushed for Luger to be brought in. WCW considered it, but then soured on it. Either both sides had a very different version of: what is push would be (Luger wanted long runs against Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan) or guaranteed money or both. Luger wrestled house shows over the weekend for the WWF and as of the deadline it looked as if for now that Luger would remain in the WWF. His contract status is still not resolved as he hasn't renewed yet, but that is now probable."
Luger wechselte dann am 4. September zur WCW.
