Mary Ann Kostecki aka Penny Banner (71 Jahre) ist an Krebs erkrankt. Bei ihren letzten Untersuchungen wurden Tumore entdeckt, bisher sind die Aerzte jedoch nicht sicher um welchen Krebs es sich handelt.

Penny Banner war einer der erfolgreichsten und Populaersten Wrestlerinen die es je gab. Sie kam aus dem Judo ins Pro Wrestling und wrestlete ueber 20 Jahre. Sie hielt mehrere Woman`s Title, und war die erste AWA Woman`s Champion, in den 60er Jahren war sie zudem befreundet mit Elvis Presley.

Hello Everyone,

I have been holding off telling you that I was diagnosed with what the Doctor believes is " Peritoneum" cancer (the sac that holds all of our intestines together).

I will be operated on by Oncologist Dr. Robert Higgins at 7:30 AM Friday the 25th, the day after Thanksgiving, and should stay there for three days.

After surgery, when my Doctor removes all the masses and my ovaries, they will send it to pathology. Only THEN will they know the extent of my cancer.

They said that chemotherapy should begin about four to six weeks after surgery. All of the other vitals in my system are good, which they tell me is a very good sign and for me to continue swimming, working out, and just doing
whatever I've always done to be in such good health before finding out about
these 'silent bummers ' that have invaded my body!

Those of you wondering what were my first signs...it was losing WAY too much hair every time I brushed it during the day. Second was loose bowels. Third was that it was hard to hold my stomach in...which is why I went in for a
check-up. I mean, I've been doing 85 crunches with 50 lb weights now three times a week for years, and for this to happen was WAY out of sync.

There you have it. I want you to know, I feel fine but would like to ask all of you, my friends, to please add and keep me in your prayers.

I got the report from my CA 125 a while ago and it
did DROP, but.....only 3.9 pts. They had hoped
it would have gone further down, but said it was
GOOD that it DROPPED. It went from 59.75 to 54.14 !
I asked and she said, if it doesn't get down
under the 35 after the next treatment of chemo..it
means I will need to continue it until it does..
NOT SOMETHING I wanted to hear......But, I will
continue to keep my hopes up and prayers going for
better results the next time ;-)...
