The Osirian Portal is ssstronger than ever now. Since adding Hieracon to our ranksss, we’ve been undefeated as a trio! The Pharaoh of Funk and The Birdman have even gained a point toward title contention. With all this momentum on our side, The Osirian Portal is ready to take on any and all challengessss!

There is one challenge in the distance that I speak of ssspecifically. CHIKARA is crowning its first ever champion. With enough votes, one can qualify to be in the running. As for me, I must vote in favor of the Pharoah - my partner is truly one of the most underrated athletes active today. But "the Venomous and Vile Serpent from the Nile" has a tassste for gold as well!

Why would another CHIKARA ssstar vote for me? I am more than qualified. After all, I am one half of the youngest Campeones De Parejas in CHIKARA history! The 2010 Rey de Voladores Champion! ...and soon to be the King of Trios 2011 champion! If you disagree with that, I know of a couple million people spread across the foreign lands of the Internet that can back me up!

There is a piece missing from the Pyramid The Portal is building. We’ve discovered that piece. Allow me to compete for that Championship, the missing piece. STOP it already! I’m so sick of all you CHIKARMY chumps asking who my partners are going to be for this year’s King of Trios. Enough with the e-mails, the Facebook posts, it’s not your-space, it’s MY-SPACE. Give me some and I’ll freakin’ tell ya.

While I’m certain that my accomplishments since last year’s tournament (Former YLC holder victories, tour of Japan, etc.) warrant a one-man BDK team, I’m a humble guy. Figure I’ll share the winner’s spotlight. My partners last year totally fumbled, and Sara Del Rey dropped the ball big time at “Operation: Big Freeze.” I can't have a team of underachievers that can't take the pressure and stupid girls that don't save their partners in time. But I do need someone unpredictable, someone that brings a little crazy to the table. That's why I’m going with you, Delirious. You perfectly complement my precise mat wrestling skills and text book technique.

Than there’s you Jakob. I know you're relatively untested - you took a long break from your training to serve as our ring announcer before finally getting your act together and becoming an active wrestler. When you finally asked Claudio to help finish your training, I saw that spark in your eye. And in Brooklyn, you delivered big time. You came through - that's more than I can say for Pinkie. I understand you might feel ill-prepared fresh out of the dojo, but fear not - your training will continue under me.

Your first lesson is to soak up my words and comprehend that my bachelor’s degree from the Chikara Wrestle Factory wasn’t what propelled me to becoming the Greatest Young Lions Cup champion of all time. That’s right, you’re a fool if you believe Quack prepared me for the chops on my chest, the concussions in my skull and the pain I felt in my heart - loss after loss after loss in my very first few months on the circuit. No! It was the sick reality of the cruel sport that tested my tenacity and toughness. It was my beatings by the likes of Brodie Lee and Eddie Kingston that taught me lessons in Pro Wrestling 101. I passed with flying colors and because of which, I’m proud to say, I graduated with a Masters in ring psychology and a minor in promos.

That’s why it’s imperative that IF midway throughout a match, IF the momentum were to shift in the other team’s favor and IF they were indeed able to tag in a fresh man, you’d be the first one I send into the ring. While it would trouble me to see you dropkicked and clotheslined in front of my very own eyes, you must understand it’s only for your own career development. It’s for your own good that I’m sending you in to ultimetly get bruised and beaten. It's like my mom always said, you need to get hit with a few backfists before you can back someone up with your fists. Sending you in to be abused isn't because I don't care Jakob, it's because I care too much. April 17th will be the day of your final exam.

Over-qualified!

It's been proven, I don't need to go on and on about it, because really it's simple. The real question I struggle with is why would someone NOT vote for me? Jealousy? Maybe...Scared? Probably! CHIKARA has tried it's best to keep me and the Bruderschaft down for the past year but my stock has continued to rise - earning three points with Daizee Haze and beating the best CHIKARA had to offer.

I'm tired of going around in circles, its time to show the world what I can do. No division by gender or weight class - everyone is on an even playing field. That championship title belt would look perfect around my waist, and the people in each locker room know that just as much as the fans do.

Guten Tag!

Stop the presses, stop the presses!

Jakob Hammermeier here, und I have something to point out! I am not too sure how, or why it has happened. But somewhere in betwixt my morning coffee, and my mid-morning "Tim Donst's Personal Pump-up Pep Talks" that I have received every single day since he announced he had chosen myself und Delirious to accompany him on the BDK trio this year at KOT, that I realized something.

That Green Ant is in fact, cheating. The very same Green Ant that you CHIKARMY fans love und cheer for is a dirty player. Exhibit A) In February, your "resilient rookie" managed to knock out two, (count em') TWO members of the Osirian Portal. You can see for yourself on DVD! Now one might think that this could be an isolated incident, that Cheater McCheaty Ant Pants is actually a very talented wrestler that can hit hard, und can "tie you up in knots." That on that particular night he got the better of those two other men, but this leads me to...

Exhibit B) When you watch my match with Green Ant, you can clearly see him knocking me out! (This is when Tim Donst turns off the DVD of "Creatures From The Tar Swamp" und assures me that my wrestling prowess was so keen that even though the car was on and nobody was behind the wheel, I managed to keep the car in between the lines und win the match!) Something is up with that arm, I know it!

Now obviously this type of cheating cannot be permitted to continue! In this day and age, I thought you Americans had a handle on the whole "performance enhancement" issue. Especially with as prestigious of a tournament as the King of Trios coming up, we have to uphold a level playing field in honor of past greats such as "Ares", such as "Claudio Castagnoli," such as "Tursas" who all played on an even keel.

Mr. Vavasseur, I must call your attention to this and demand action! Green Ant is competing with some kind of unnatural advantage to the over the other participants in King of Trios 2011, and I am calling for him to barred from competing.

05.04.2011 - Madison Eagles

It has become very apparent to everyone that the women of the BDK and I have not seen eye to eye since making my return to CHIKARA. But both Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey need to realize I WILL NOT give up, and I will not be bullied. I will not succumb to pressure, and I will certainly not be run out of here by them. Lesser women have come and gone. Madison Eagles is here to stay, and I've made my case to be considered for a fulltime position on the roster to the powers-that-be. I have come to respect the skill and passion that both Sara and Daizee exhibit. And given the right opportunity, I think they will learn to respect my abilities as well. I refuse to be marginalized or excluded. And you can be sure I'll be at King of Trios 2011, looking for any opportunity to show the CHIKARMY what I'm all about.

Before I sign off, though, I want to take my plea to the Director of Fun public. Three times already I have petitioned to be added to the roster. I'm at every event possible, even if I am not booked to wrestle. I am hungry for opportunity. In this short time that I've been back though, I've been on more cards then some of the men I see listed on the roster section of this website. I am more active in Season 10 than either of the Ice Creams have been. Will these two be allowed to cast a vote to determine CHIKARA's first champion?

I came back to CHIKARA not just for the competition, but because no other wrestling organization on Earth grants equality to the females of its roster. I admire this forward thinking, and I want to prove myself against the very best out there, regardless of gender. I've shown what I can do in the ring, and I've shown I'm dedicated. I want more than just an equal fight in that ring - I'd like equal say in who gets to compete for that shiny new belt. Isn't that true to the spirit of this company?

In less than 2 weeks, you will witness an event that will bring together men and women who are beyond good, beyond evil, and beyond your wildest imagination. Not only are wrestlers coming from all over, but fans from all corners of the globe are coming to King of Trios 2011. As a self-appointed ambassador of the world I will greet you all now with this universal salutation: “Bah weep gragnah weep nini bong.”

Now that I have greeted the world, I will address a certain 3 individuals. The rumor buzzing around the locker room is that 3 individuals made a special request for King of Trios. Three men were given a golden invitation to the biggest tournament in wrestling and then had the audacity to ask for F.I.S.T. specifically as their opponents. Now my sources may not be 100%, but if this is true, I must ask you, Team Australia - Why? Why throw your lives away so recklessly? I applaud your tenacity and courage to take on the most dangerous trio the universe has ever seen, but I guarantee you F.I.S.T. will beat you from here to Moon Base II and back. Percy, Kabel, and Tama Williams bring every ounce of bravery, strength, and indomitable spirit you can muster. Because you will need it.

As for the other teams that are unfortunate enough to get in the way of Icarus, Chuck Taylor, and Johnny Gargano: my condolences.

Onto my third and final matter of business now. Wink Vavasseur has opted to have the active wrestlers of CHIKARA cast their votes to decide who will compete for this prestigious singles championship. As a past King of Trios winner, past Cibernetico winner, and as one of the longest standing members of CHIKARA, virtually everyone on our roster has gotten to know me on a very personal level (as I have you.) So when you go to vote, I want you to ask yourself this simple question: “Would Icarus stoop to abducting my pet, if I don’t vote for him?” Yes, that is a threat.

Vote for Me, or say goodbye to your beloved pets. I know you, I know where you and your pet sleep. So don’t give your vote to me for me, give your vote to me for Pete your beloved tarantula, your weasely little ferret Bobby, maybe it will be for your precious dog Sugar Bear, or your fur balls with claws, Klause. So remember think long and hard about how safe your pets are and how much of a jerk I am before throwing your vote away.

Hello People!!!

It’s not a hoax - it’s really me! Your friend, Steven "The Turtle" Weiner! I know that all of you reading this at home or wherever you might be are also making your final plans to join us for the 5th annual King of Trios tournament next week, so I am just going to get right to the point.

This past week, on this very website, Madison Eagles posted a blog and her comments really caught my interest. Now please keep in mind that while the subject of a fulltime roster spot didn’t surprise me, (as I am the type of shellhead that loves to see new faces in CHIKARA,) the topic in that blog that really caught my eye was the line about who should be allowed to cast a vote into the new singles title picture. CHIKARA has been my home since the summer of 2007, and I am as much a part of the CHIKARA family as anyone.

Now, I am not writing this blog to campaign for votes - just look at the incredibly talented roster we have! And my own CHIKARA record is 1-6, so I can't consider myself a player in the championship hunt. But, with all the time I have spent at CHIKARA, shouldn’t I be allowed to have a say as to who I feel deserves a chance to become the first CHIKARA champion? I read Madison' blog, and I think she deserves a vote, but Wink, so do I. Like Miss Eagles, I have been at almost every CHIKARA event since I came onboard. (At least half the current roster arrived AFTER I did.) This championship is too important for me to sit back and keep quiet.

Please include me in the balloting process. My input is as valid as anyone on the roster.

Looking forward to your response, and I'll see everybody in one week at KOT 2011!

It has become crystal clear to me, that Sinn Bodhi does not like to play nicely. He turns my dark army against me. He attacks me without provocation. He dares to destroy the one thing sacred to me in the ring - my mask, which is my very identity. Now, as we head towards King of Trios 2011, Sinn is attempting to lead his demons into a tournament that myself, Hallowicked, and Frightmare have targeted as an elusive piece in our own cosmic puzzle. If he has even an inkling of a thought to derail our destiny under contemplation, then The Spectral Envoy promises to not only ruin Kizarny, but to incinerate his allies and underlings as well.

However, there are still a great many chapters to this story that have yet to be written. Because you see, Hallowicked and I have much more in common than simply an issue with The Batiri. When Incoherence agreed to join forces with the great and devious UltraMantis Black in a bid to avenge the transgressions of the demons, it did in fact come with some strings attached. In return, I vowed to Hallowicked that I would indeed right past wrongs - namely, my macabre manipulation of Delirious.

And so the time draws near for me to seal our agreement. I have no misgivings and rest assured, I WILL do what needs to be done.

Greetings!

It's your trusty Director of Fun here, Wink Vavasseur! Before I get to my first order of business, just a few updates since my last blogpost: let me say that the response to my call for a CHIKARA fan nickname was eye-opening, to say the least. As it turns out, there has been a name all along: The CHIKARMY! Well, now I know. (Personally, I was partial to "CHIKARGONAUTS", but that's just me.)

Now, on to the business at hand; first, allow me to address a plea that has been directed at me. Madison Eagles, that consistent presence of Season 10, has declared her worthiness for inclusion in the roster-only voting for CHIKARA's first champion. Due to her persistence and performance, I'm going to approve her eligibility. I mean, an all-American name like Madison Eagles just screams "championer of democracy," right? Also, seeing her wrestle at so many events, I kind of just assumed she was already on the roster. So, Mz. Eagles, consider yourself added to my spreadsheet. Good luck voting!

Similarly, there's another character I was shocked to hear from. More than shocked, I was SHELL-shocked! So, I say, what the SHELL - (sorry, let's keep this family-friendly) - what the SHECK, let's give him a vote! And also, let's go ahead and...whoops, I thought I had another turtle pun ready there, but I lost it...anyway, I'm talking about Steven Weiner. He gets a vote, too. But that's it! Enough begging! The next thing you know, Leonard is going to want a vote and that's where I draw the line.

(Just days away... King of Trios 2011)

To bring all you fans and wrestlers up to speed on the timeline of things, let me reiterate that the roster's votes will be gathered before or during the King of Trios tournament on April 15th, 16th & 17th, and that will be that. I will not be granting any deadline extensions; I'm not the IRS! Also, just a reminder, make sure to file your taxes by Friday, April 15th (incidentally, the first day of King of Trios.) It's an easy-to-remember date!

An odd occurrence has been happening over the past week or so; I've been getting a flurry of text messages in what appears to be a foreign language. At first, of course, I assumed it was from one of my many international business clients (I've mentioned I'm an internationally-renowned business guru, right?) Upon further inspection, they turned out to be a series of complaints from a Mr. Hammermeier. It seems Jakob is claiming some misdoings by Green Ant. At first, I assumed Jakob was GREEN with envy! Ha! But, as a self-proclaimed Defender of Fairness, I decided to grant him the possibility and I reviewed the recent CHIKARA DVD footage. As much as it pains me to side with our German-speaking announcer-turned-wrestler, I'm forced to agree that, yes, the surgically-implanted metal in Green Ant's arm does give him an unfair advantage. I'm not saying he was cheating and I will not be overturning any match outcomes, but, going forward, Green Ant must wear some sort of pad over that part of his arm.

Sir Winston Churchill once said: "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." This undoubtedly summarizes how I feel about the newest idea of CHIKARA's Director of Fun - casting votes to determine eligibility for the most important championship. Look at the "voters" in this case, and you'll quickly find out, that more than half cannot be trusted.

It has been a bit of a rough time for me the past few months. Things have...let's say they have not exactly turned out the way I have planned. But even the best plans have flaws. You have to recognize those. You have to face your mistakes. And you have to correct them. There is no shame in taking time to regroup and restrategize.

I, Ares, am very good at various things. Not only am I extraordinary when it comes to leadership, I am even better at adjusting to new situations, changing gears, and coming up with new plans. And I am ready. Ready to face the consequences of my mistakes. Yes, I might have lost the Titel des Teamwettkampfes. Yes, I might not have had a lot of success the past few months. But this is unimportant now. There are new and exciting things ahead of me, and ahead of the Bruderschaft.

As much as I disagree with the methods of this sorry new Director of Fun, I agree that it is long overdue that there is a special recognition for a special individual in CHIKARA. The name of this recognition is as unimportant as the means of the coronation. But it is quite obvious who this honor belongs to. It is obvious to ME, and it is obvious to each and every member of the BDK. And it should be obvious to you as well.

Scum like Mike Quackenbush, Eddie Kingston or even Green Ant might try to seduce you into believing that they are the right people for this new title. That they can give you something that you want. But it is the struggle of all great leaders to convince simple people like you of the obvious: those mentioned have nothing to give you, and they don't care more about you than I do. You just have to open your eyes and wash away the veil of ignorance.

We at the Bruderschaft have our eyes open. And we are ready. We will not be distracted by the pathetic machinations of that complete failure UltraMantis. We will not waste time on the ramblings of a Madison Eagles or Sugar Dunkerton, as they are beneath our notice. We will unleash a wave of fury that will give new meaning to the term "warfare." And when the strongest among us - Herr Castagnoli - is affirmed as the ultimate champion of CHIKARA, and our brightest prospect Tim Donst leads the BDK to King of Trios victory, our power will be restored.

Hello all!

It’s your CHIKARA Director of Fun, here, Wink Vavasseur! I thought I’d pop in and give you all a quick post-KOT update. First of all, let me say how interesting it was to meet so many of you this past weekend. King of Trios 2011 was such a successful event, and much of the credit goes to you guys, the fans. Of course, I suppose, a lot of credit goes to the incredibly talented wrestlers, too. And, though I’m a very modest person, I’d be remiss to not expect a bit of the credit to go to me. So, credit all around! And a special note to everyone who had their picture taken with me: if I blinked in your photo, just remember that a blink is like two WINKs for the price of one! Ha! Also, please send a copy of your picture to me at VavasseurW@gmail.com. I’ve got a wall of pictures in my office of me posing with celebrities, titans of industry, and world dignitaries. I’m setting aside a spot for the best KOT picture, right between a photo of me with Gary Trudeau (I inspired a “Doonesbury” character, a floating, talking lawn chair; that guy’s weird) and a photo of me with Lee Iacocca.

Alright, that’s all for now, gang! ...Oh, wait, I almost totally forgot about the reason I started writing this in the first place...the results of the voting that took place! Well, all the votes have been collected, tabulated and re-counted (no hanging chads, trust me!), and here are the results:

I had a chance to watch King of Trios 2011 from the upstairs of the Asylum Arena. Not really how I wanted to watch it, but it wasn't my choice for many reasons: 1) The UnStable seems to work better as a duo, not a trio. And 2) I had surgery at the beginning of April which has sidelined me until the May cards.

I really hope that wasn't a small sampling of the beating we should be expecting from you, 3.0! If it is, you better step your game up, severely.

Oh, you two DID accomplish something. You were the two guys I saw this past week on Botchamania screwing up your own double team moves, right? Way to go.

When you book us against clowns like 3.0, you make us into the punchlines. It's all laughs to you two idiots. Well, not to us. That's why I did what I did. Consider it your wake up call.

If you knew anything about me, you'd know I persevere in humiliation and losing to you two jokes is as embarrassing as it gets. And now that I've upped the ante, you want the party to end at 11? I got news for you, 3.0, this party can go all night long. I believe there's a joke in there somewhere but eh...I think I lost it. Heh.

But while I'm on the subject - hey Brittany, Dollface, whatever your name is...do you think your boy Shane is a real man? Like I told you in Brooklyn, it's only a matter of time before you find out who the real man is. Keep your beautiful eyes on Vin Gerard.
