Laut rohwrestling.com werden ROH World TV Champion El Generico und Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana in Richmond, Virginia am 8. Juli 2011 auf die amtierenden ROH World Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas & El Generico treffen.

Aber Cabana/Generico gegen Haas/Benjamin ist eine tolle Ansetzung.

Finde die Ansetzung auch sehr gelungen. Generico & Cabana sind das absolute Face Team. Vielleicht bringt man ja auch eine stritige Szene ins Match, sodass Cabana eine Chance auf Genericos Titel fordert. Auch wenn es in Elgin, Ciampa und Bennett viele Contender gibt.

Zuallererst wird es am 9. Juli 2011 in Charlotte zu 2 Grudge Matches zwischen den Briscoes und dem All-Night Express kommen, wobei es dort eine Sonderregel gibt - die jeweiligen Partner bei diesen hintereinander stattfindenen Matches werden mit Handschellen an die Ringpfosten gefesselt um ein Eingreifen zu verhindern.

Desweiteren wird das Juli-Wochenende ganz im Sinne des "Bandes der Bruderschaft" stehen, denn die beiden Wrestler, die noch vor einigen Tagen im Main Event des ROH iPPVs "Best In The World 2011" standen, werden sich nun wieder zusammentun um gegen 2 Teams anzutreten, die entweder durch eine gemeinsame Feindschaft miteinander verbunden sind oder durch persönliche Freundschaften gekennzeichnet sind ->

Richmond erhält somit am 8. Juli 2011

Ließt sich schlüssig. Wenn man für Davey keinen Gegner hat im Moment, dann sollte man ihn erstmal mit Eddie ins Team stecken. Verdeutlich (oder zerstört?) die Freundschaft und lässt dem Office Zeit den nächsten Gegner, wohl Strong oder Elgin, etwas zu pushen. Edwards wird sich ja dann auch vorerst verabschieden.

Die Stipulation bei den Grudge Matches finde ich ganz gut, aber irgendwo her wird jemand die Schlüssel schon finden. Beim nächsten iPPV sollte die Fehde dann schon beendet werden, oder man zieht es bis Final Battle, was klasse wäre ;)

Wundern würde es mich nicht wenn Briscoes vs. ANX den Ladder War III untereinander bringen würden.

Nuja Tag Team Matches bieten zumindest die Chance durch einen Pin ein neues Titelmatch zu rechtfertigen. Nebenbei freue ich mich schon wie ein Schnitzel auf Davey vs. Kyle am Samstag ... das is so ne art Dream Tag Match für mich und es wär für mich definitiv ME-würdig. Nebenbei noch ein TV Title Match vielleicht und dann sieht die Charlotte Card schon sehr vernünftig aus ... Freitag kristallisiert sich für mich immer mehr zu Tag Wars 2011 heraus ... und ich bin gespannt auf die Kombo Strong/Elgin ... könnte ich mir durchaus vorstellen, dass sie Tag Champ Material sind.

Bereits als sie Champions waren gerieten die Kings of Wrestling mit dem All-Night Express aneinander und auch beim letzten iPPV zerstörten die Kings den Titeltraum des ANX durch das Golden Elbow Pad. Da Claudio Castagnoli, laut Shane Hagadorn, sich derzeit mit Wichtigerem beschäftigen muss, ist Chris Hero dieses Wochenende in Singles Action tätig. Am Freitag erwartet ihn daher der Mann, den er bei "Best In The World 2011" dank unlauterer Mittel eliminieren konnte:

- Da die Mid-Atlantic Region eine lange Tradition von hochwertigem Tag Team Wrestling besitzt und auch Ring of Honor am Freitag besonderen Fokus auf diese Kunst legt, wird der Event den Namen "Tag Team Turmoil" erhalten.

- "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett versucht nach seiner Niederlage bei Best In The World 2011 wieder auf die Siegerstraße zu gelangen und wird es daher am Freitag in Richmond mit Kenny King aufnehmen. Dabei wird das gesamte Wochenende über "Brutal" Bob Evans nicht in der Ringecke seines Schützlings stehen.

- Ring of Honor Offizielle haben dem Wunsch von Truth Martini stattgegeben, der nun am Samstag in Charlotte einen neuen Rekruten des House of Truth testen darf.

- Der neue ROH World Champion Davey Richards hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt den World Title auf der ganzen Welt zu verteidigen. ROH Offizielle haben diesem Wunsch zugestimmt. Vor einigen Tagen konnte er bereits in Barcelona seinen Titel gegen Tommy End verteidigen. Da Ring of Honor nun World Title Matches auf dem ganzen Erdball erlaubt, ist es durchaus möglich, dass sich ein Wrestler aus einem anderen Land, der sich nicht im ROH Kader befindet, einen lebenslangen Traum mit dem Titelgewinn erfüllen könnte.

Ich find es sehr gut dass mittlerweile wieder ROH World Title Matches auch in anderen Promotions stattfinden können. Fand es damals zu Samoa Joe und Bryan Danielson Zeiten schon toll, dass man auch potentiell plötzlich in Europa oder Japan einen Titelwechsel erleben kann. Steigert auf jeden Fall den Wert eines World Titles, wenn er auch weltweit verteidigt wird.

Christopher Daniels has influenced the pro wrestling scene long before many of you were even born. He has been a pillar of what an outstanding wrestler is and should be. When you think of the phrase “tv star” you can’t help but think of the “Fallen Angel”. The career of this great star has been unrivaled. With that being said the upset of his match with El Generico has caused him confusion and embarrassment. Daniels performance in this match can only be attributed to the pressures and extreme focus needed when a title is on the line. I don’t just mean the title of the World Television Championship but, also the title of being the biggest star in ROH history. In my opinion, which is the only opinion that matters, the only reason men fail is from broken focus. ROH has broken ground with the new ownership of the Sinclair Broadcasting Group which means ROH will be televised nationally. Daniels was born to lead ROH to TV stardom and he feels he has failed. Daniels has informed me he will not be in Richmond, VA or Charlotte, N.C. this weekend. This new feeling of embarrassment has left him questioning his purpose. Through deep thoughts and meditation he will regain his focus. Ladies and Gentlemen, we just went from Christopher Daniels being the ROH World Television Champion to a man that looks like he has been floating dead in a river for the past three days, El Generico. Daniels is not the only one that should be embarrassed, we all should. So sayeth the Truth!

H.O.T. member Roderick Strong just finished a successful tour in Japan. Now he has a different look in his eyes, a look of triumph, a look of determination and most importantly he has a look of understanding. He now fully understands the Truth, because when I change what you know than I change who you are. Now Roderick Strong realizes he is without a shadow of a doubt, pound for pound, the greatest professional wrestler to grace any and every professional wrestling ring. Roderick Strong’s first match upon his return was requested by the new ROH World Television Champion, the “lucha dork” El Generico. This match scheduled for July 9th in Charlotte, NC will be a non-title steel cage match. In my opinion, which is the only opinion that matters, El Generico has a lot of fear and hate in his heart. Afraid of losing his title, he made this a non title match, his hate for Roderick made him choose the steel cage. My friends and followers, we all know that you are nobody until somebody hates you. With that being said, Roderick Strong is not only “somebody”, he is the former ROH World Champion and the greatest champion ROH has ever had. Strong will single-handedly end the career of El Generico. So sayeth the Truth!

When I think of the future of ROH, I think of “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin. Since his debut 8 months ago he has been the fastest rising star in ROH history. Elgin has stirred up many worries and fears of other wrestlers that may cross his path. At 24 yrs old he has a bench press of 500lbs and can squat 700lbs making him the most powerful man in ROH. In his short time in ROH he already holds a victory over El Generico, won the first ever Double Danger Scramble match and beat Steve Corino at “Best in the World 20113 which is ROH’s largest internet pay per view to date. He started off as a recruit for the House of Truth and has passed his final test with flying colors. He has succeeded where the other recruits have failed. Michael Elgin believes in the ways of the House of Truth and is willing to die for what we stand for. I, Truth Martini, say what I mean and I ALWAYS mean what I say, Elgin will be ROH World Champion one day. I am always looking for new souls to mold, and I have many recruits under my guidance. This weekend in Charlotte N.C. on July 9th Elgin will be teaming up with a new recruit. This recruit has passed the preliminary assessments of becoming a H.O.T. member and has earned the right for his final test. Will he pass or will he fail? Will I give him a thumbs up or a thumbs down? In my opinion, which is the only one that matters, if a man hasn’t discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live. So sayeth the Truth!

As I said previously, I have a gift to not just tell the facts, but to tell the Truth. Regarding the ROH World Champion Davey Richards, I believe you fans have never seen a man with such passion, such determination and such honor as him. I can understand why all of you love and cheer for him. Can one man truly fulfill all your expectations to such an intensity? No, the truth is all of those qualities are only skin deep. Do you really have passion if you announce to the world that you are going to quit after you have said time and time again that you didn’t choose wrestling, wrestling chose you? Hmmm…do you really have determination if you stated to the entire world that you were meant and born to do this and have come back to fulfill your destiny. Your destiny being at Final Battle you would win the ROH world championship for the fans, for yourself, and most importantly for your deceased grandfather…and then you fail? Hmmm…do you really have honor if your selfish needs take you as far as to fight your tag partner, your pack member, your brother, Eddie Edwards? Hmmm… In my opinion, which is the only opinion that matters, Truth is not always popular, but it is always right. Davey Richards is the ROH World Champion but he got there with greed, selfishness and manipulation. The plain and simple truth is that your Ring of Honor World Champion is dishonorable. So sayeth the Truth! So sayeth the House!

A Letter From Kevin Steen To ROH

The second I heard it, I got a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I will never forget.

So many things went through my mind...how could I end up in this situation? What can I do to fix it? Is it too late to change things? And most of all...how could I live without Ring Of Honor?

I heard the sound that signified my career in ROH was over and my heart sank. Actually, it felt more like it started bleeding.

You have all figured out by now that the sound I'm talking about is the referee coutning to 3 as Generico is pinning me for the victory at Final Battle. But many people thought that feeling in the pit of my stomach was regret...but as I showed everyone at the iPPV, it wasn't.

I spent 6 long months trying to get rid of that feeling...the feeling of undeniable rage and betrayal that festered inside of me ever since that phone call. Remember that call Jimmy? The one where you told me back in October that if Generico and I didn't stop this war immediately, one of us would have to go? I told you there was no way you'd have the guts to get rid of one of us and the next week, I decided to call your bluff and lay out the challenge for Final Battle.

I expected you to lose your fucking mind after I did it and I was right. You did. What I wasn't right about is the fact that you'd beg me to reconsider. I'll admit it, on that one, I was way off. I realized pretty quickly that you weren't going to be manipulated like everyone else I dealt with. You made the match official and it got quite clear quite quickly who you and every other ROH ''official'' were rooting for.

The match was 2 months away and I could already see all of you plan for ROH without Kevin Steen. It made me sick. I knew there was no way I could win this thing. Regardless of how the match went you'd just screw me over if you had to. You couldn't have me running around beating the shit out of everyone and licking people's blood when you were negociating with that nice big corporation that wanted to buy the company, which would ensure that the almighty Jim Cornette would always have a job in ROH and still matter in the wrestling world.

I really tried to let go of that anger but nothing I did helped. The closest thing to relief was when I got to compete in a PWG ring. But even that was bittersweet because after every match, people would come up to me and say ''How are you not in ROH anymore?''

Then I saw what they made Steve do...and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Steve Corino is the best. My idol. He is an exemple for everyone that wants to leave a mark on this industry. He's one of the guys I watched as an aspiring wrestler that made me say ''I want to be like that guy!''

Of course, that was before he sold his soul for that company. That was before Steve Corino made the decision to cut his own balls off so that he could stay in ROH.

Steve Corino is a fucking legend and instead of embracing that, he turned himself into a apologetic, self-deprecating, pathetic shell of what he really is.

Steve used to come to the ring and beat the shit out of people. He used to come to the ring, bleed buckets and make people bleed. Now he comes to the ring wearing hockey jerseys and says he's sorry so that fans applaud him. He wants to help the younger generation. He tries to make buddy-buddy with a fucking lumberjack. What kind of bullshit is that?

Where's the Steve Corino that would take a fork and cut people open? Where's the Steve Corino who pushed me to get more sadistic and evil than I ever even knew I could? Where's Steve Corino, King of Old School?

I don't know whether he genuinely believes this shit or whether he's doing it to kiss ROH's ass but I'll say this, FUCK him for demeaning himself and FUCK ROH for either LETTING him or FORCING him to do it! And as far as Jimmy Jacobs is concerned, I don't know him as well as I know Steve but it seems to me he got brainwashed into ripping his own balls off too. The unfortunate part is Steve made the mistake of thinking that he could change me as well. I actually can't believe that possibility even occured to him. Maybe Jacobs put that in his head?

All I know is this: Steve, you need to understand that I don't hate you. It's quite the opposite. You are still my idol. I still respect you more than anyone I've ever met in the wrestling business. I still think of you and Colby as family.

But I will never castrate myself in order to make ROH, Cary Silkin, Jim Cornette or you, happy. I am the monster I am and I will never change. My name is Kevin Steen and I am the Antichrist of pro wrestling. I don't need to drink or do drugs to be who I am. I am here to beat the fuck out of people and create as much chaos, pain and mayhem as I can and that's always going to be my purpose.

I waited for 6 months to get a chance to come out, stand in the middle of an ROH ring and scream to the world what I've been feeling and I finally got to do it at Best In The World. But I didn't do it just for me. I did it for a lot of people. I did it for the guys that gave years of their careers to ROH and got discared with no explanation like Necro Butcher, Austin Aries and Jimmy Rave. I did it for Gabe Sapolsky. I did it for my buddy Adam Pearce who poured his soul into that company before being thrown out like grabage. But most of all I did for myself, my wife and son, and for the old Steve Corino... the one that died in December when I got kicked out of the company.

There's so much more I want to write about here but I feel this has been long enough already so let me close this off with one last thing.

Jim Cornette, please remember this:

You cannot keep me out of ROH. You can swear on your mother's grave all you want...your mother's grave doesn't mean shit to me.

I will show up in ROH again, sooner or later. And when I do, it'll be with one goal in mind...

To bring the whole fucking company down, for good.
