TNA Impact Wrestling on Thursday, August 11 scored an official 1.07 rating off a first hour 1.08 rating and second hour 1.06 rating.

It was the lowest second hour rating since June 9 (vs. the NBA Finals) and tied for the second-lowest of the year with the April 28 episode.

Impact peaked in the first quarter-hour with a 1.16 rating. The first hour steadily dropped off until a show-low 0.97 rating in Q4, which featured A.J. Styles & RVD vs. Beer Money vs. Pope & Devon in a tag match.

Impact rebounded to a 1.11 rating in Q5 to start the second hour, but followed the same first hour pattern of declining ff each successive quarter-hour before concluding with a 1.01 rating in Q8.

First Hour Break Down

Q1: Impact opened with a 1.16 rating for the standard Immortal talking segment setting the stage for the rest of the show. (down 3.6% vs. 2011 average)

Q2: Impact declined slightly to a 1.11 rating for a segment featuring Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne in Knockouts action, one commercial, and the first-half of an X Division match. (down 5.3% vs. 2011 average)

The overall rating and the second hour rating were the second-lowest of the year for Impact. The second hour was dragged down by the final two quarter-hours, which each scored below a 1.00 rating.

Impact also scored a 0.94 rating in the fourth quarter-hour leading to the top of the second hour. Impact then peaked in the fifth quarter-hour with a 1.18 rating for a Knockouts match before dropping off the remainder of the second hour.

Each quarter-hour on the show was below the corresponding 2011 average. The largest discrepancy was in the final quarter-hour of the show, which was 20.0 percent below the Q8 average in 2011.

So haben insgesamt 1,400,000 Menschen die Ausgabe am Donnerstagabend verfolgt - 220,000 weniger als in der Vorwoche. iMPACT! belegte am Donnerstag den 32. Platz im Kabelfernsehen. Im Main Event verteidigte Kurt Angle seinen World Title gegen Sting mit Hulk Hogan als Special Enforcer.

The first hour rating was the second-lowest of the year, trailing the June 9 episode's 1.01 first hour rating against the NBA Finals. This was highlighted by the second-lowest Q1 rating of the year for the weekly Immortal talking segment to open Impact.

So haben insgesamt 1,358,000 Menschen die Ausgabe am Donnerstagabend verfolgt - rund 50.000 weniger als in der Vorwoche. Im Main Event kam es zu einem Fatal 4 Way Match. Außerdem feierte Jeff Hardy am Ende der Ausgabe seine Rückkehr.
Es sei außerdem zu erwähnen, dass iMPACT! diese Woche starke Konkurrenz in Form eines Football Games hatte.

Other than last year's Thanksgiving episode, it was the first time in over a year - August 19, 2010 - that an hour of Impact has scored below a 1.00 rating.

-- Impact peaked with a below-average 1.09 rating in Q5 at the start of the second hour for this week's TNA World Title match. The show then hung around a 1.03 rating for the remainder of the show. It marks the fourth straight week Impact peaked in Q5.

Looking at each quarter-hour, Impact was down 11-21 percent compared to its corresponding quarter-hour average in 2011. The entire show was down in the ratings, which means any increases or decreases during the show were essentially insignificant. Notable, though, was Impact opening 21 percent below its Q1 average on the year.

First Hour Break Down

Q1: Impact opened with a 0.94 rating for a video package on Jeff Hardy to start the show, then Mr. Anderson in the ring for a talking segment setting up the TNA World Title main event. This was followed by one commercial break. (down 21.0% vs. 2011 average)
