Die problematische Beziehung zwischen Josh Barnett und der UFC duerfte ja bekannt sein, sie geht zurueck ins Jahr 2002 als Josh Barnett nach seinem Fight mit Randy Couture positiv getestet wurde, und gleich sein UFC Heavyweight Title vakantiert wurde.
Nunja am Donnerstag fand ja der UFC Conference Call statt. Ein Journalist fragte Dana White zu Josh Barnett, und Dana meinte:“Yea, Josh doesn’t like me very much, and you know, I don’t know if is one of those things that he can get over or not get over, but we are interested in Josh still fighting, so it is going to be up to him.”
Josh Barnett antwortete nun darauf und meinte:”In response to the comments made by Dana White I am completely open to fighting in the UFC and the new Pride Worldwide. I do not have any personal issues with Dana. I may have my opinions on how an MMA show should be and they may differ with some of the promoter’s ideas out there but I am not one to refuse to do business. Like I have said before, I have no problem fighting in the UFC.”
Es sieht also danach aus, das Josh Barnett bei PRIDE FC bleibt, oder sogar zur UFC zurueckkehren wird. Die UFC Heavyweight Division wuerde mit Barnett noch phantasischer sein, als jetzt schon.
